Ne-yo is one of the few artists that actually treat women with the utmost respect in their music... didn’t think it’d be such a rare sight nowadays
@Khushi-gm8ex4 жыл бұрын
MistBorn i know right. Holy shitttt. It’s not even for me. But like when I wake up i listen to him and like my whole day is just improved. I feel so confident and happy. The sad thing is that there are many guys like this. But if they show it apparently it’s “simp” behaviour.
@JJoh40404 жыл бұрын
@@Khushi-gm8ex Respect is to be earned. a simp respects women that take advantage of them and idolize them despite them exploiting their naive mindset. A bad woman will allow a simp to go on a date with them but she knew she wasn't interested in a relationship with them to begin with.

For those that haven't seen the movie. This is actually a flashback. The movie begins with Ne-Yo in a bar cutting his losses as "Diamond Eyes" (the girl from this video whom is now a Supervillain) forces the Mayor to relinquish his power to her before killing him. Ne-Yo, whom is drunk, gets bashed by the people in the bar asking him to save them because he's the only one who can, but it takes him getting a bottle thrown at his head to incline him. Afterwards we see "Beautiful Monster", which is him trying to stop her, but it turns out to all be a dream, as he wakes up back in the bar. He then leaves the bar and walks down the street (much like the start to Beautiful Monster) again. But a car pulls up, with which the man inside tells him to get in, the man has diamond eyes much like Sinclair(the girl from this video). This brings up the storyline, where he breaks down Ne-Yo for his mistakes till Ne-Yo finally accepts blame and responsibility for the deaths in the city and potentially of his friends(in this video). It flashes back to when him and his friends gained their powers from this man in the car and he lays down the three rules to them. The first 2 rules entail protecting the city for an oncoming evil that none will be prepared for. The 3rd Rule is to never fall in love. Which they laugh off. Their 'life' becomes the "Champagne Life" music video. Where they deal with crimes. But eventually years later this 'great evil' never comes, as Ne-yo recounts. And 'partying' became all it was. Ne-Yo then bashes the man for that 3rd rule of "Never" falling in love, and how he can't even believe it is a rule. The man tells Ne-Yo that the amazing thing.. is that Ne-Yo accepted it. To which he(Ne-Yo) needs to recount where everything went wrong. Sinclair.. whom is the girl in this video. And then this video happens, but a longer version, yes this video is also a flashback. His two friends get Sinclairs two friends to come sit with them, but Sinclair goes about her business and doesn't approach Ne-Yo. He floats her a glass of drink and she turns it down, and has the waiter send it back. So he goes over and tries to sit with her and talk to her, with which she pretty much breaks down his personality, and his assumptions that she is 'just like' every other girl that throws themselves at him because of their powers. She makes a zinger of a line about "Assume" and says It puts "Ass" in front of "U" which is what she thinks is him and his friends preference(see: Champagne Life) But that it also puts "Me" behind "U" so she tells him to go back over to the "ass" and leave the "me" which is her, behind him. At THIS.. Ne-Yo has no reply and goes over to his friends slightly embarrassed. THAT is what they are saying he got 'dissed' and she did it. Thus this video starts. At the end after he stops the Taxi, she tries to get another one, after he says it wasn't fair for her to leave before he could finish, to which she tells him life isn't fair. And also breaks down that she 'gets' him, that he's a spoiled brat that's used t to getting what he wants, when he wants and the fact he can't have her right when he wants her is tearing him up and he can't take it. So he replies that she thinks she knows him, but to give him a chance to prove her wrong. One date. Before she can interrupt he says they could just spend a few hours together at an establishment of her choosing and talk and get to know one another. He pretty much says that the worst that could happen is that it just wastes a few hours of her life and she gets a free meal as he'll pay for it all, but all he wants is one date to prove her wrong. Which she grants. The movie then hits a "To Be Continued..." The continuation of the story which has only been seen in bits and pieces but hasn't been released is that their date goes extremely well, and they wind up falling for one another and falling in love. All of this seems to be going well till they share an intimate moment in a night of passion. Because of this night, a strain of his powers in his DNA winds up within her. This causes her body to react against it thus giving her powers but at the cost of her sanity, and she becomes "Diamond Eyes" the Super-villain of this story. This part(the date, and everything else) would have been done in the song and video for Telekinesis. Ultimately the story will come down to Ne-Yo having to choose between his powers and his love, as well as if he can save her and himself, or if he has to choose between her life and his. As well as testing the morality of the situation as well as love and if it truly can conquer all, or if it causes everything to be destroyed. "What have I done." is probably the song that comes at the climax of the film. But unfortunately these music videos and second half of the movie haven't been released to the public, and it's very possible they will never be. Due to the sales of "Libra Scale" and people bashing it because they didn't understand what he was trying to do with the storyline, which is a shame because I'd have loved to see the continuation of the story to the climax to see how it all would have ended. But alas, unless Ne-Yo decides to release them from the archives, we'll never see them. And because he blames himself for Libra Scale not selling as well as his albums before it, he may never do that. Which makes me very sad, and makes me wish more people had appreciated this album when it came to sales like they appreciated it on youtube. Oh well :( I'll still await with hope that he'll release the 2nd part of the film so we can all see how it all finishes. Anyway, sorry for the essay, hope you enjoyed ^_^ If you ever get the chance to or want to see the movie, I recommend getting Libra Scale and the DVD. Maybe if it sales enough he'll release the rest of the story and music videos from it. One can only hope.

+Henry Love Wow, okay. Do you guys not recognize any of these moves? Or are you both uncultured? First of all, these dance moves are Michael Jackson's, the style is Michael Jackson's, it shadows The Way You Make Me Feel, Ne-Yo was and is inspired by Michael, he did this video this way as a little tribute to Michael. I'm not incompetent, I can see and hear that this is Ne-Yo. What you two don't obviously see is that behind his moves and style is all Michael Jackson. That is why I commented the way I did and if you haven't figured it out, look it up. Learn.
