As far as we can figure the plot of the music video is that Rebirth is harvesting phoenix blood for its healing properties but as the phoenix catches on fire to burn away its old body the phoenix kid making eye contact triggers the blood to ignite. As to why the phoenix kid twas chosen to free the phoenix rather than dying...luck? Also watch Duck please

Afaik the story stuff is mostly in the redesign series. You're just missing a lot of context because you jumped from the very beginning to close to current 😄 Neytirix has a playlist on their channel but it's in exact reverse order

He has no context about birds associated with fire and rebirth, has never seen anything involving X-men and has never been informed of the existence of the Harry Potter series. For context, imagine a chicken, set it alight and imagine it flying off, still alive but unharmed by the flames. Then scrap that idea, it's wrong. Imagine either a regal chicken or a female peacock, swap out the plumage colours for those of a wood fire. That is a phoenix in appearance alone. When a phoenix reaches the end of its natural lifetime, it will catch alight and burn to ash and from those ashes, a phoenix chick will emerge. Barely a hatchling.
