Lokambika Temple is situated on a rock called Kalipara, located approx 30-35km from Trivandrum (2km from Neyyar Dam). This temple is truly an unexplored gem for travellers. The view around the temple is really amazing.
Visit Kalipara early morning for the mesmerizing view of sunrise. Sunrise from Kalipara is an amazing experience and will take you to another world of serenity.
Try to reach there 20-25 minutes before the sunrise or sunset time. Because you have to climb up for 10-15minutes.
Keep water (go green).
Avoid visiting during monsoon.
Best place in Trivandrum to watch sunrise.
Please be calm and enjoy the place. The view of Neyyar dam, Western ghats, Agasthyamala and also the panoramic view of Thiruvananthapuram will make Kalipara unforgettable.
