To play DayZ you need a ton of patience and bulletproof computer hardware that can handle being abused as you get sniped from some mysterious location and losing all your progress after hours of play

Some advice I would give would be if you're soloing and know a black market is probably being held, unless you are willing to die and lose everything you have, go to the main market area that has a no PVP zone and try to sell them to people for a marked down price. It may not be as much money as you would get by going yourself, but it's better to make some money and get to keep your life. Another strategy you can use is to Tell a player that you will give them the item you are trying to sell, make them pay the money you actually expect to make off of it without going to the island upfront, and let them give you the rest of the money later. This strategy means that either way you make enough money to make it worth your while without having to worry about dying.

i know this will never get seen but as a solo player myself this is wholesome bc i guess you could say many of us solo players arent exactly solo by choice. To be more blunt i guess you could say many of us have no friends to play with in the first place. Also i dont know if any of you play dayz enough to notice but its actually pretty crazy when it comes to finding any companions online to befriend or at least coexist with in a 50 meter area.sorry all that to say that i appreciate this and it was in the end really cool to se that.

My guess on the early free loot was he was killed by someone else who then either got killed or shot at and fled rather than loot the body and the secondary shooter either didn't see or couldn't find the original kill to loot it.
