Edit: before you read I figured out what I was doing wrong, my timing was shit xD The first combo has me a bit confused since what it looks like is 2 light attacks into a jump then a tilt attack down to the opponent using light attacks then repeat into flying kick but I tried that so I'm guessing I got a button wrong or something wrong in it. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

There's literally 2 buttons for attacking and the command list is easy to find/change. Just because you failed doesn't mean the teacher is at fault.
