The way he described that being addicted to the pain hit me hard, what he says is very honest its just like being addicted to drugs, you want the next fix, it hurts you a lot and you want more , you love feeling this way , you know what inspires you, but you are afraid of commitment, afraid that things might end up worse than before , afraid if you will not be able to handle it, afraid of rejection. I am going through all of that and this song describes my whole life.

Me too my friend. Not getting gospel, but when I heard that line my jaw dropped. A lot of people think it's just words written down but when you yourself faced death and remember yourself actually running towards the light trying to get in. I had a conversation with him. The crazy shit is that as I was running towards the light he spoke out to me and I knew exactly who it was. Him and I talked for quite a while but I was never uncomfortable. That's the crazy part tho, because once I heard him and knew who it was...it felt like I was having a conversation with my long lost best friend and talked to him normal like we had grown up together. When the bright light was getting smaller I told him "I'm trying. I'm really trying to get the light just give me a minute, I'm going to get there." Once he told me "Don't worry Mike, it's not your time." I stopped running. The bright light disappeared and it was completely dark. I put that on my and everyone I love's life that he gave me a second chance in life. That been said my dude. You got this. If your going threw some shit and want to change paths to hope that path will heal your wounds and make life better but are afraid...that's your que to make the change. Seriously! God wouldn't put you through shit in life if he didn't feel it wouldn't make you a better or stronger person to help you be more successful in life. I haven't been to church in over 10 plus years but after what I have experienced personally having only 6% chance to live and if I lived I was going to be braindead or paralyzed if not both...I stand by what I said... literally! (Not paralyzed)

I didn’t expect this song to relate as much as it did. Gosh it hit hard . It is coming to terms that pain is necessary and vital in order to fully understand happiness and the value of life . It is moments of weakness that demonstrate that . We take things for granted we move with time - we keep going but for what . That is the hardest part for myself . It is finding a reason this song exemplified that so beautifully. We get so wrapped up we subside our emotions . And change can be good in every aspect . New pages need to be written in order for books to be made . It is without a doubt one of the hardest things to do.

As a self-published author who has republished the first book of his series 4 times, failed every time but still kept improving, I can feel all of NF's songs. I think artists have the hardest time starting up, especially if you're a man. You get words from your family, talking about you behind your back that find their way back to you. They call you a loser, say you're never going to make it no matter how hard you try, and they say you should go get a 9 to 5 and hate your life. That hurts me the most man. It kills my motivation. I can take words from strangers, but when my own family talks me down, it hits different. But... every time, I keep on going. Writing books is what I want to do. It's hard to describe, but it's what I love to do. I have a passion for it. If I do fail at it, then that just means I wasn't trying hard enough. I won't ever give up on writing my books, as foolish as everyone around me thinks that is. I have to succeed. About to republish my book again soon, so wish me luck guys. Only time will tell if they were right about me. At the end of the day, the real question is, do I have what it takes?

@@mizzmayhem3685 Hey, thanks man. It means a lot to hear that from you. I just need to do better really. I can blame anyone for my book failure, but I'm the most likely reason for my book to fail. I'll give it my best shot every time, although that might differ between tries.

@flywhiteguy2327 Жыл бұрын
@@sherel-ss4pn Well, my only alternative was to give up doing what I love. I can write an entire book of 70k words in just 7 days now, but it takes me longer than that to finalize it. I did it as a test recently, and I was surprised by how few mistakes I made. I've decided to just spit books of high quality out and do my own book covers, to see if I can make it or not. Wish me luck! 10k words per day is blistering fast, but I'm sure I could write even faster if I needed to. The downside is it takes me 3 months to get my first paycheck after book launch.

People fear change because they expect it or want it to be what they want it to be, and if it isn't they become so disappointed that they hate or fear it, instead of trying a different approach or formula. Another way of looking at it is is it a change that is going to do good or a change that is going to do bad.

This song gets me every time. I want to be rid of my anxieties. I want to be rid of the stress. I don’t want to be afraid and worried. I don’t want to keep holding on to everything I’ve said or done or everything that hurts me. I don’t want it anymore.
