I feel like this is why he took a brief hiatus after he dropped the Search. He did drop Clouds, but he only released them to let the songs go and to hold us fans over for when he comes back. I feel like the fame mixed with the pain mixed with success was overwhelming for him and he had to take a step back for a few years.
