Don’t feel you need to do “The Journey” ™️ exactly by the book. Obviously some of the stuff is very direct storytelling and you’ll love the tie-ins if you do them in order but some other tracks like this one, “Story”, “Grinding”, and “When I grow up”, don’t have a ton of hidden meanings or things linking to other tracks. TBH I’d love to see you guys do “Story” next because it’s the single greatest example of Nate’s ability to paint a picture with words. Also it has absolutely nothing to do with The Journey so the more hardcore fans won’t give you trouble for it. Keep up the good stuff! #TheyAreBothSmart lol

Also whoever said this song isn't really part of it is dead wrong no offense to them but once you take the "Journey" up to this point you'll go back and see so many references from NF's whole catalog including other music videos as well.

The kid at the end is featured in his song When I Grow Up. He’s one of 2 fans that we’re going to his small concerts at the beginning of his career. Basically showing his fans from the beginning are still here even without the awards. Great reaction. 👌🏻

For the record - that's the closest NF has ever gotten to cursing in a song and every fan and reactor has had that same "whoa... Nate getting a little spicy" reaction as you guys. Re: Ren, I have seen him in reactors comments telling people to reach out to him directly and also dispute the demonization with KZbin if it ever happens. He loves reactors spreading his content but sometimes stuff gets tagged/claimed automatically. They'll let you monetize those videos if your reach out.

Honestly I can not blame you for doing this one from the older songs, as it dose fit well as i kind of over arching summery of the whole journey. but I would also suggest coming back to this and "Hope" as well after you have cached up as then you will be able to fully understand and appreciate the references and meaning behind the songs.

Gentlemen your in a tricky spot. NF Journey is a lot of Tracks but you can get in the key tracks before the new album drop Apr 7th (I believe). Mansion is the next one. I put NF tracks in 2 categories: story line and flex tracks. Depending on how many tracks you can get through before the big drop. I will put my short list on the Mansion reaction!

I would say the thinking that these new songs are not part of the journey is incorrect. They are part of the journey as his journey through life and personal growth continues, just that this is currently at the end of the "journey" as it is now. Point in fact there is a throwback to several songs from this one. Specifically the kid at the end is in the song When I Grow Up, which is also in the journey. Anyway, great reaction!

I don't believe that cursing is a sign of intelligence but i wouldn't say its due to a lack of vocabulary either. Sometimes if you want to convey an emotion quick, short and to the point in the company of others who may not have the same upbringing or vocabulary as yourself. I wouldn't tell my soldier who used an entire can of comet to strip a floor that it was fatuous, I would say something like "smooth move assclown" or "what the hell f-stick". This would be the end of it to this point because it the newest but along the journey NF touches on his relationship with the industry and fame multiple times on different songs. You’ll notice that outcast is somewhat a more aggressive version of motto in some ways. In my opinion anyways.

I've been listening to him for about 7 years and I think he could be better than Eminem which is who he was talking about in this song when he said "I'm done waiting for my influence to calab with cause em won't for some reason. Mansion is one you have to react to. It's in the beginning and is one of his best songs. When he got pushed down into the mansion in the song "hope" that is the mansion from the beginning.

In regards to cursing. Cuss words should be used like a fine wine on warranting occasions. For example, the phrase "It's a damn shame" would not be the same without the curse word. It adds a very specific flavor and punch in the delivery. The overuse of swear words makes the audience numb and they no longer get the emphasis. In my opinion, cuss up a storm when needed and refrain when not. At least that was Isaac Asimov's approach...lol.
