Pennywise is also the physical representation of fear. They beat penny wise by not being afraid. Too many faces in the crowd which he mentions in the search. I look in the crowd and see so many faces.

I'm not sure if this is accurate, but in my opinion, this song is a whole conversation between himself and Pride. I broke down the lyrics in a way that I think conveys this a little more clearly and adds some depth to the song...whether that was his intent on this song or not, i'm not sure but i think it's interesting: NF to Pride: Yeah, what's your definition of success? I don't trust the thoughts that come inside my head I don't trust this thing that beats inside my chest Who I am and who I wanna be cannot connect Pride: why? NF: Don't think I deserve it? Pride: You get no respect NF: I just made a couple mil', Pride: still not impressed NF: Let You Down goes triple platinum Pride: Yeah, okay, okay, I guess Smile for a moment then these questions startin' to fill my head, not again! I push away the people that I love the most; NF: why? Pride: I don't want no one to know I'm vulnerable; NF: why? Pride: That makes me feel weak and so uncomfortable; NF: Why? Pride (hinted by the fact he says “this isn’t Nate’s flow” & “I’m in disguise”): Stop askin' me questions, I just wanna feel alive Until I die-this isn't Nate's flow Just let me rhyme; I'm in disguise I'm a busy person, got no time for lies; one of a kind They don't see it; I pull out they eyes; I'm on the rise! I've been doin' this for most my life with no advice Take my chances, I just roll the dice, do what I like As a kid, I was afraid of heights, put that aside Now I'm here and they look so surprised, well so am I, woo! They don't invite me to the parties but I still arrive Kick down the door and then I go inside Give off that "I do not belong here" vibe Then take the keys right off the counter, let's go for a ride Why do y'all look mortified? I keep to myself, they think I'm sorta shy, organized Let You Down's the only song you've heard of? Well then you're behind Story time; wish that I could think like Big Sean does, but I just can't decide If I should stick my knife inside of Pennywise I, I don't care what anybody else thinks NF: Lies Pride: I do not need nobody to help me NF: Lies Pride: I kinda feel guilty 'cause I'm wealthy NF: why? I don't understand, it's got me questionin' like, "Why? Just tell me why"-not back to this flow Inside I feel divided Back when I ain't had a dime, but had the drive Back before I ever signed, I questioned life, like, "Who am I, man?” Pride: Nothin' to me's ever good enough I could be workin' for twenty-four hours a day and think I never did enough My life is a movie but there ain't no tellin' what you're gonna see in my cinema I wanna be great but I get it in the way of myself And I think about everything that I could never be Why do I do it though? Ayy, yeah Why you always lookin' aggravated? Not a choice, you know I had to make it When they talk about the greatest, they gon' probably never put us in the conversation Like somethin' then I gotta take it Write somethin' then I might erase it I love it, then I really hate it What's the problem, Nathan? NF (where he reveals he’s been talking with Pride): I don't know! I know I like to preach to always be yourself (yeah) But my emotions make me feel like I am someone else Me and pride had made a pact that we don't need no help Which feels like I'm at war inside myself but I forgot the shells I hold my issues up for all to see, like show and tell A lot of people know me, but not a lot know me well Hold my issues up for all to see, like show and tell A lot of people know me, but they don't know me well

I like this perspective, but I don’t think pride would not be able to decide if he should stick his knife in Pennywise, because Nathan’s pride would brag that he already buried his fear in Intro III. So his pride would go for it no questions asked

"I get scared when I walk on these stages I look at the crowd and see so many faces Yeah That's when I start to get anxious That's when my thoughts can be dangerous," from The Search. He's saying he sees too many faces and it makes him nervous. It messes with his anxiety and depression. Kinda like Twenty one Pilots, with Cut My Lip and Chlorine, where they say being a musician makes their mental illness worse, but they use music to try and release their inner demons. Double edged sword.

You missed few points; "Too many faces", he said that at the beginning of the song as well and not just at the end. It refers to his crowd anxiety like he said in "The Search" "I get scared when I walk on the stage and see so many faces" Penny-wise isn't just any clown. It's his fear, he said he can't decide if he should kill penny-wise, and knowing NF, we've seen how he's been dealing with this all long. Specially in his song "Intro 3”. The machete, I personally like to think it's from his song "Real" which he used to cut off the ladder on other rappers. All in all a great review as always. I'm so glad I found your channel man. You're as underrated as NF

I don’t mind the pausing at all because I know that you’re going to say something intelligent and riveting. Other KZbin reactors just turn on their cameras and make different facial expressions, and when the song finishes they only say words like ‘wow, so cool, fire, e.t.c’ See that’s not a reaction it just pure BS. Another great breakdown once again! So sad to see the train reach the station, though. You got me intrigued about this Lupe train you'll start. I heard about him, heard a few songs here and there but that's about it. Let's see where it takes us 😁 As to why Nate asks himself "Why?" every other sentence, from my experience, I'd say he's showing us he's going through therapy. As a part of CBT (that's supposed to work well with both depression and anxiety), the client says a general thing, then uses the question "Why?" repeatedly in order to get to the core of the issue. Hope that helps in your understanding, Ernest.

Would def be cool to kick a few back on the beaches with you. But only the Dos Equis.. ill buy you some of that "Butt light" if its a must.. Cant wait for what's next tho. Now, I'ma go back to work i guess.

This a comment i posted on an old video but i brought it to newest because you need to see it. and i wanted to update it. I know im commenting on an old video but with you i kind of went backwards from "when i grow up" until here. and Mansion is next. I personally have heard every NF song he's ever made but ive never seen your channel until recently. Honestly ive never seen someone break down NF's videos and songs the way you do. and i know that you know that alot of your recent subs came from you analyzing NF tracks, and i say analyzing because you do alot more then react and break down. put it this way you earned my subscribe press the moment you noticed the Laminar Flow coming out of that faucet and you earned the right to annoy me with notifications when you referenced Lupe and from heart recited his lyrics. its nice to watch someone that is passionate about good music and doesn't let the hype or view count go to there heads like for example nolifeshaq yes he passionate but in a different way. there is a difference when you combine passion with intelligence rather then just screaming "thats tough" to ever bar. so thank you for being you and you defiantly earned my sub and constant viewership. thanks for doing NF justice. I wrote this comment before the end of your wake up video, the fact that you called out those other reactors for not understanding the difference between sad music and music that sparks an emotion was FIRE!!! you just earned a life time viewer just for that comment alone i say the same shit all the time to people that cant quite understand the angle NF is taking here but its refreshing to see someone actually get it and stick up for it. so for that thanks.

You need to react to Remember This, he is just spitting facts during all the track, it's fire

I love the way NF personifies emotions. “Remember This” is a great example of that. Also check out no name for more fire bars.

Thank you for doing this song. I was nervous to click on it because most of the reactions I've seen they don't do this song justice because everyone misses what the balloons mean and miss alot of bars. But I'm so glad I clicked on the video. By the way whenever you get time you have to do mansion if you haven't already and motivation, they are both bangers.

I’m glad you decided to reaction to NF. You’re right. There those of us who can relate to Nate on every level and have severe depression and anxiety. While he, just as TØP does, address mental illness and raising awareness, it’s not the same everywhere (in Louisiana, btw). Where I live is one of those communities who still has the stigma and people like me aren’t understood or ignored.
