Derek Carr is probably out for the rest of the season, so the Commanders should be solid favorites against the Saints next Sunday. They should also beat Dallas. If they get swept by Dallas, it would be a huge embarrassment for Dan Quinn, not to mention the whole team. They key game may be against the Falcons. Penix could be starting by then, who knows. If they win those three, they're in.

These dudes are so pessimistic. Not exaggerating. If JD5 is 100% healthy and confident again, they will win out. He’s seen Philly and Dallas once already so he won’t be nervous against them. Saints and Falcons aren’t strong right now. They can (and probably will) legit win out.

The thing is it's in their own hands. They have to keep winning. But they don't have to depend on anybody else losing to get into the playoffs. I can see the Commanders ending up at 11-6. From that vantage they would be untouchable. But, the main thing right now is getting by NO. Gotta have this.

I'm not concerned as a redskins fan simply because we still are a team lacking playmakers. As it stands we need a #2 WR,TE, and Healthy #1 RB to step up. On Defense we have the pieces with adding Lattimore but not enough depth to contend with better teams barring injuries. I'm just happy with this year's success as is. Now if we don't have the pieces next year or the following then I'm worried because we do have our QB.

We may have arguably gotten better if Lattimore starts, but we lost our second-most efficient receiver in Ekeler. The rest of the receivers are too close to "50-50" for my taste. Ertz has no YAC if he does catch the ball, and seems to be allergic to contact. How far we go could revolve around our receiver room, and it's not looking great, when defenses know they just need to double-up McLaurin. It's not the coaches fault, they can move McLaurin around, snap to snap, but that's at best, a bandage, and it means JD needs to find him when he is under pressure.

I've been watching Cousins since his rookie year and one things for sure..you never know when he'll snap out of his many slumps and throw 4 tds in a quarter..Ive seen it happen in multiple games.

If the Commanders go 3-1 of their last 4 games, they will finish at 11-6 and no doubt will make the playoffs. I do not see any reason why they won't make it.

The blind faithful will ignore the warning signs and assume we are a shoe-in, but we are going to have to battle to get in. My primary concern is Jayden's development, and recently he has regressed. We will live and die by Jayden's play, so I would much prefer elevated progression for JD and no playoffs than regression and playoffs. But the reality is, he plays well and we're in.

The final wild card spot in the NFC is going to come down to the Commanders and either the Rams or the Seahawks. Tampa Bay will win the NFC South. Either the Rams or the Seahawks will win the NFC West and the loser of the two might still have a chance if the Commanders finish 10-7.
