This is a really great song but there is something I don't understand. This is meant to be a new song but isn't it this off an album that's a couple of years old now? Why are they releasing a song from an album from two or three years ago?

www.discogs.com/NFD-Waking-The-Dead/release/6349568 According to this the album was released in November 2014 but they are only releasing a single from it in July 2016. This is what I don't understand.
