For some people, you can give them a detailed blueprint, the best tools on the market. And somehow, someway...things won't get built correctly. (A system can have everything a player needs, but somehow someway find a route to the portal )
@alkebulanwarrior19635 ай бұрын
There is a difference. Other than UCLA no other school has as many NFL former players and coaches on staff to give the players the blueprint and info daily. The other school can provide the info to their players by bringing in former players to provide information but that is not the same as someone who is coaching you who have achieved that level. I am retired Army, and I was a Drill Sergeant, and I had a commander ask me why the soldiers and Sergeants of equal rank were always more attentive when I spoke and seeking you out to ask questions. I said Sir look at my right shoulder there is a combat patch there. This was before 9/11 so that also meant you were in an elite unit to earn that patch. So, the informatiom coming from someone who has been through the fire hits differently and not just from a place of theory. You are the proof of concept. AATW

I know some guys who'll say their time in the NFL was some of the darkest days of their life. Even Prime dealt with depression and nearly attempted suicide. The focus needs to be on mental health. It's tough because the Desire is to "win now" and if you got kids who are a yr or 2 from being draft ready, you have to focus on them before they're gone; because your contract requires you to "win now;" especially for a "black" head coach. Teaching time used to be a luxury because you had 3 to 4 yrs with a kid. But now; you gotta win and you don't have a lot of time. So hats off to Prime for balancing his program - but he's fortunate; his son is the no. 1 qb, his best player is like a son, his other son has true nfl potential; so he can convince them to stay longer - but let the winning start happening; them new kids gonna get more looks and invites to leave. The kids who know they won't make it better take full advantage of what is being offered; for life outside of football.

I think they should have zay and others going for the draft come talk and get real with the boys. They sometimes take it better from their equal.
@darrylherman9165 ай бұрын
I agree; but, that would be from a "Player's Perspective." This is about, what the League looks for; so you get a view of how or what people are looking at, when they're evaluating you. Zay can only go through the process as the one hoping to get selected; it helps to know "what" the criteria is, from the One doing the Selecting... having this knowledge can greatly assist in the success of you achieving your goal of getting selected.
@klassyred80695 ай бұрын
@@darrylherman916 I'm not saying that this is not valuable information. Some kids just received the information from their peers as well as their coaches. I'm just saying that maybe they can get into the other kids head and let them know, listen to the coaches they're not about just winning on the college level but they're trying to prepare you for the NFL. That's all I'm saying and most players will open up with their peers. It hurts to start playing the game at pee wee and never hit the NFL!!!

@@bigazTV Well ... having the best stats may mean you have a lot of the intangibles that lead to those excellent stats. So you can think of "best stats" as a signal worthy of further investigation.
