The coldest thing in NFL history was the 1967 NFL Championship game with a wind chill factor of -45 F. A spectator died from exposure. An official lost the skin on his lips when his metal whistle froze to his lips. There was no band because their instruments froze and several kids were sent to hospital with exposure.
