That was the end of the 2020 regular season right? That was a great game, best of the regular season, Al and Cris who were the NBC duo at the time were properly hyped. Then in 2021 they also got the season closer, but it was Philly against Washington and the Eagles were actively trying to tank to the WFT who won the division with a 7-9 record. Al and Cris were so pissed back then.

5:01 as I look back at this play, I know Big Ben was looking for a receiver near the end zone, but AB was right there near the sideline. He could have chucked down to Brown and stepped out of bounds to stop the clock. I know the Patriots kept him in check throughout the game, but on this play it looks like they were in zone coverage and weren't even covering him.

The more times I’ve watched the Jessie James play over the years the more it’s clear he didn’t catch the ball based on the rules. It’s not even really all that controversial. He reached out as he caught it all in one motion and when he hit the ground the ball hits the ground but also comes loose out of his control. It’s a WILD PLAY yes, but it’s the correct call

I think the only reason it’s controversial is that in slow motion it looks like a catch before he hits the ground. You are right though that it was done in one motion.
