Chris knows what he is talking about. Okudah is not someone that is a top 5 prospect in this draft. He gave examples of previous Ohio State corners who had the luxury of playing with a dominating defensive line (Eli Apple, Ward, ect....) who don't look as good in the pros. Dieon Sanders himself also said that he's a bit too stiff in his movements so Simms is not alone in his evaluation. He is not naturally gifted like Henderson or Terrel and in all of those mocks you see, the Detriot Lions are not picking him 3rd overall. They will draft Simmons over Okudah. Okudah is not a difference maker, and you must draft a difference maker at pick number 3.

@paquesepas6696 4 жыл бұрын
@Mr X Look smart guy tackling was obviously important then and now since you didn't get the point. But in those days outside runs and screens weren't done as much as inside I formation with the big Full Back that was an actual used position back then unlike now where the full back is almost extinct. Running backs today are a lot more versatile and get tosses and screens where he would be even more exposed but nothing a good scheme will be able to hide.

CFB Fan u must not watch film u strike me as someone who watches a bunch of Mock Drafts an that's how u form ur expert opinion lol J. Chase will definitely be a top 5 pick in next yrs draft.. an yes Terrell was beat a few times so.... there isn't a DB who wins everytime in the universe period an yes I spelled out . So u get the point Terrell was with him like glue most of every snap he has all the Tools to be a #1 CB in the leauge once he gets coached up by the pros I feel he has a much higher ceiling than J.O from Ohio st. Which will be Great as well but think hes already close to his ceiling entering the NFL also watch Terrell vs LSU again he guessed wrong in a couple moments an didn't look back to ball once oh an Burrow made a few perfect passes in those scenarios as well he was right there... to make a play 98% of the time an was great in every game this year he gave up a couple big plays in 1 game an that's what ur goin to run with GL

Then they should call Elway & TRADE UP, your team wants to win a SB while they can with Brees that window os closing fast- I recommend that you trade UP from 24 to 15 and then get an extra 3rd rndr as you have no 2nd rndr at the moment & two #3's can relieve that problem [you could even trade up again with someone else fron 1 3rd into 2nd rnd afterwards!] in exchange for BRONCOS #15 & 3rd Rndr 2020: BRONCOS get your #24 2020 and also #1 2021 & 2rd Rndr 2021 That way you guys get 2 extra picks in this years draft that is loaded & you have no picks to take advantage of all this talent & then we get 2 extra picks in 2021 where we can focus on bundling a couple of picks to trade up for Surtain II 2021

Jeffrey Okudah is the best corner in the draft and it's not close. "Not as gifted physically?" Get out of here, he had a 41 inch vertical at the combine and is by far the most fluid and agile out of all the CBs when you look at tape. That said, I actually agree with the rest of your list of Henderson, Terrell, Fulton and Diggs. But Okudah is in a tier of his own in this CB class.

Fangio is going to value Okudah's 'polished' abilities way more than the 'raw talent' of Henderson & Terrell especially when it comes to open field tackling & stopping the swing/screens & check downs in the flat 100% Okudah is a plug & play guy who will start Day 1 for Broncos; challenge for ROY; and then make pro-bowls throughout his career... I totally expect him to be a HOF starter for BRONCOS for next 10- 15 years! He may still be playing for the BRONCOS when I am dead... Okudah is the number 1 corner hands down. Sorry Chris. There may be 4 or 5 receivers whose speed might be an issue for him man to man but you can gamelan those guys. everybody else in the league will have problems with Okudah because he is elite when it comes to anticipation and recognition. The only thing that's not elite with Okudah is speed. Everything else he's head and shoulders better.

another commenter already addressed this since like in Denver Fangio will have him on the #2 WR and have Bouye & Callahan bracket teams #1 WR also we have K-Jack & Simmons... in such scenario's YOU WANT a 'polished' aka proved he IS a football player as you can leave him on an island & game plan everywhere else... so Okudah would be a TRANSFORMATIONAL player for the BRONCOS at 15 and that's what you want a guy who can start week 1 and challenge for pro bowls every year... also doesn't 'polished' mean he studies learns & applies because like that's the WHOLE THING when it comes to being an NFL starter

Since 1999 there hasn't been a CB running slower than 4.45 (at combine or pro day) taken top 5. Okudah also has only 15 starts and faced mediocre WR talent in the big 10. Lions seem to have signed Trufant to be their #1, and are also looking to move back reportedly. Wouldn't be surprised if he even goes outside the top 10. Think about this, Gilmore was polished and a far better athlete but didn't go top 10.

@@Elperroefe I've watched him play since I am a big ten viewer (Penn State influenced) and I have seen what good and talented wideout and corner play looks like. He is not horrible, I am not saying that. BUT, he is not a difference maker either. He played against inferior wr talent that made him look even more impressive than what he is, and also had a tremendous front that got to the QB consistently that he practically didn't have to do much. I waited to see him perform drills at the combine. I (as well as Hall of Famer Dieon Sanders) saw that he was stiff in his movements, not very fluid at all. In the NFL you are going against some of the smoothest route runners out there. It is like dancing, if you can't move effectively out there you are going to look foolish. I would personally draft a few corners ahead of him just because they are little more smooth than he is and faced far better competition (SEC). I personally think that even Simms missed on one corner that I believe will be best one in this draft (Noah Igbinoghene of Auburn). Whoever drafts him will get the best corner in this year's draft (in my opinion).
