Chris knows what he is talking about. Okudah is not someone that is a top 5 prospect in this draft. He gave examples of previous Ohio State corners who had the luxury of playing with a dominating defensive line (Eli Apple, Ward, ect....) who don't look as good in the pros. Dieon Sanders himself also said that he's a bit too stiff in his movements so Simms is not alone in his evaluation. He is not naturally gifted like Henderson or Terrel and in all of those mocks you see, the Detriot Lions are not picking him 3rd overall. They will draft Simmons over Okudah. Since 1999 there hasn't been a CB running slower than 4.45 (at combine or pro day) taken top 5. Okudah also has only 15 starts and faced mediocre WR talent in the big 10. Lions seem to have signed Trufant to be their #1, and are also looking to move back reportedly. Wouldn't be surprised if he even goes outside the top 10. Think about this, Gilmore was polished and a far better athlete but didn't go top 10.

Thank you, someone making sense here........I see Okudah clearly being picked out of the top 10, possibly going only early as pick #12 to the Raiders.

@@victornsien2814 You're jumping on this Okudah bashing because its what some people are doing, if you watch him play youd be singing a different tune
@victornsien28144 жыл бұрын
@@Elperroefe I've watched him play since I am a big ten viewer (Penn State influenced) and I have seen what good and talented wideout and corner play looks like. He is not horrible, I am not saying that. BUT, he is not a difference maker either. He played against inferior wr talent that made him look even more impressive than what he is, and also had a tremendous front that got to the QB consistently that he practically didn't have to do much. I waited to see him perform drills at the combine. I (as well as Hall of Famer Dieon Sanders) saw that he was stiff in his movements, not very fluid at all. In the NFL you are going against some of the smoothest route runners out there. It is like dancing, if you can't move effectively out there you are going to look foolish. I would personally draft a few corners ahead of him just because they are little more smooth than he is and faced far better competition (SEC). I personally think that even Simms missed on one corner that I believe will be best one in this draft (Noah Igbinoghene of Auburn). Whoever drafts him will get the best corner in this year's draft (in my opinion).

Hyperbot I’ve already watched the film. He’s a top 10 pick at the worst and a justified top 5 pick. One of Okudah bests traits is his tackling ability yet it wasn’t mentioned once.
