I think between the injury history of everyone they have at Outside Linebacker (Chubb, Phillips, and Barrett), it was probably up in the air between Chop and the likes of Barton or Guyton.

Weird to be out on Drake Maye just because hes on the Pats without Belichick. I would have actually felt worse about Maye if Belichick was still there making the picks and hiring the coaches. Pop Douglas and Hunter Henry are nice, Bourne if he recovered well is nice, KJ Osborn is a WR3 but solid, Rhamondre and Gibson can both run and catch, and they added 2 WRs in JayLin Polk and Javon Baker. Drafted a day 1 RT starter so Onwenu can move back to RG, Cole Strange back to LG, and David Andrews is ofc an awesome Center. LT is still a glaring need but they can get 1 in FA next year or in the 1st round of the draft. The defense has 2 Edge guy's that had 10+ sacks each and Judon missed games. Barmore at DT who had 9.5 sacks and is awesome vs the run too. Very good secondary with Gonzalez coming back who was a stud before getting hurt. Ideally Maye sits a year, or at least starts around week 9-10 to get NFL experience then next year the Pats will be in the playoffs after another off-season with a lot of cap and another draft, book it!

2024 is the era where the NFL is officially leaning towards non-contact competition. Not only was the draft picks void of defensive menaces, but the NFL is desperately seeking international buy-in, by scheduling games worldwide. The idea is to alter the game to attract fans that are not accustomed to a violent sport.

Kyler Murray will be back in MVP conversation now that he has a good OL, top 5 run game and talent at the skill positions again. They’ll def draft one more who plays inside/outside with speed like a Rome Wilson to go with Marvin Harrison who they just took. Their offense will be elite this year again. Can’t wait to see how much better WR Michael Wilson n elite TE Trey McBride are in yr2 of this offense. Harrison was dominant with a bad QB I think he catchs 85-95 receptions yr1 with an elite passer like Murray in the run for OROY though I expect it to end up going to a QB if any play near a Pro Bowl level

Several big name QBs missed a lot more time to start their careers such as Burrow, Lamar, Josh Allen, Purdy in SF, Mahomes, Tua, Stafford etc football is a violent game but don’t let facts get in the way of your BS Narrative though. Murray will be in the mvp chase this year back in the pro bowl in a career year.

Problem is that if Kirk Cousins stays healthy enough and fulfills his 4-year contract, Penix will be close to 30 when he even gets a chance plus Penix over his collegiate career had 2 torn ACLs.
