The Tim Tebow one at 0:28 is a little understandable in context. That was probably Denver's last realistic chance to mount a comeback effort, so it didn't really matter how many yards he lost, and he was just trying to extend the play as much as possible.

@@rhey81 Thing is, Lett never lived it down and he did another boneheaded play a year or so later. He gave up. This wasn't just a regular season game. This might be the last time Beebe ever got to play in a superbowl, so he was going to make it count. It was a pattern for Lett to do those stupid things.

That's the only reason you remember his play in SB 27. Like I said I don't get why you get upset about SB play at all when they were up 35 in the 4th..

The [Redacted]'s fake field goal has to be the worst because THAT WAS A DESIGNED PLAY. The Butt Fumble and Miracle in the Meadowlands were just freak accidents on busted plays, and Dustin Colquit's pass was trying to make the most of a bad snap, but holy shit, someone thought that fake field goal was a good idea.

The worst part about it was the fact that they tried it and the other team called a time out because the formation change caught them off guard. So they attempted it again once the other team has a chance to see what they were trying to do. The whole "take them by surprise" aspect was gone and they attempted it again anyway.

I don't know if this was covered in the previous video, but there was a kickoff for the Tennessee Titans that Bishop Sankey received inside the 5. He actually scooted back a couple of steps to kneel down, thinking he'd be able to down the ball inside the endzone and get a touchback. But, since he caught it outside the endzone, it ended up being a safety. Unfortunately, I don't know what year this happened or who the Titans were playing, and I can't seem to find footage or a news report. I just remember seeing this play and feeling a deep sting of disappointment, especially since I liked Sankey as a RB.

Joe Pisarcik deserves more respect- his screw up changed the game forever! The "Miracle at the Meadowlands" is the reason we know have the qb "kneel down" formation at the end of games. The real miracle is that the guy managed to stay in the nfl for 8 years (plus 3 in tge CFL) with a 47% career completion percentage, a 9-21 record as a starter. The man is a legend!

Perhaps my favorite kind of football folly is when absolutely no one can recover a fumbled ball. Like when Tim Couch (sorry, Browns fans) was scrambling against the Panthers in '99, gets stripped and what ensues was one of the longest loose ball chases I've ever seen replayed on NFL Primetime, with multiple Berman "WHOOP's" included ("Think you get the picture"). Traveled backwards from the 45 yard line... to the 10! Hope that makes it to NFL Fails #3!
