He was an ex bouncer and obviously liked the violence My son is 6’7” and built like etzebeth and is the quietest person off the pitch and actually avoids conflict and would let anyone have a go and just push them away but on the pitch I regularly hear ribs break etc when he steams into the opposition but as soon as he comes off at the end will have a beer with the guys he was just beasting It’s the nature of the game sometimes

An interesting fact about "Beast" Mtawarira, the one that looks like Idris Elba. He's going to be playing in the USA to play rugby for Washinton after winning the world cup last year. A genuine superstar coming over to promote the game and taking a massive pay cut to join a smaller club. Worth looking into.

@rittherugger1604 жыл бұрын
@@lukessportsacademy The MLR isn't USA Rugby. It's a professional league started 3 years ago. Some Eagles play in it though. When the USA Eagles play during the MLR season they have to bargain with the MLR to have the players released. In the rest of the world there are limits on how many players (usually 5) on the field that are not eligible for that nations National team. That limit is intended to ensure that eligible players get experience playing at that high level thus improving the National team. Last year the MLR threw that limit out. They lost a lot of my respect when in the first few games I noticed these "american" teams were only fielding 2 Americans thus depriving American players of needed game time.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaqsYoiHm7lpgZI That should give you an idea of the kind of player he was. Botha was the most physically imposing lock to play rugby. The upside, like you see, is that someone who does the dirty work better than anyone else wins you trophies. The downside is that he is disregarded as a thug (which he was) and therefore an unskilled player. He had incredible skill, but in the dark arts of rugby. So while many people would pick other flashier locks, I would always pick Botha at 4, especially if you expect to play a forward dominant style of rugby.

He won a Vodacom Cup, Multiple Currie Cups, Super Rugby 3 times, a French top 14 title, Euro Champs title, a Lions tour and a World Cup. He was one of the most feared and hardest Rugby players in history. He might not have hae the skills of a guy like Retalick or Itoje but he is definitely one of the best locks in history because he played the enforcer role better than anyone and had a solid line out game as well
