I know this is an awards ceremony and not the place to air grievances, but Manning still could've slipped something in as a little job to the Indy organization, and he chose not to. I never let him go, I understood why he did what he did. He wanted to keep playing and the Packers wanted to move to Rodgers. No one did anything wrong in my opinion. And I agree, right now I rank GB quarterbacks as: #1 Favre #2 Starr #3 Rodgers. Now I know in about 6 or so years, Rodgers will be #1, but that won't stop Favre from being one of my favorite players of all time.

I agree that Peterson should've won the award considering how he shattered the standards for ACL tear recovery, but I think it's something to be said that Manning's injury was not only career threatening, but life threatening. It may not seem like that considering the year that he had but anything concerning the head or neck (especially in the game of football) is nothing to take lightly. So I think Manning winning the award is justified.
