NFL Jerseys The Difference Between Fakes and Real Authentics

This video is taking a look at the difference between real authentic jerseys and the fake Chinese ones from sources like eBay or some online sites. Also I go over the different types of jerseys available on the market. It's a good video and hopefully it can educate some people.

When Nike lost the NFL contract to Reebok, Reebok continued to make a lower priced jersey similar to Nike's (MSRP between 45 and 55 dollars). There was not a NFL shield on the jersey. Then one year later, Reebok introduced jerseys with a MSRP around 75 dollars that included a NFL shield on the collar.

i think they changed it because I just got a Marion Barber $75 replica and it says nfl players in red and white but it is real because it has the logo shield. So i am not sure if my authentics are fake because they are the cowboys and vikings so they don't have a logo like the patriots

OMG i hate how people get confused. The chinese fake is a Real authentic jersey, the 2003 and the moss jersey are premier. Premier jerseys just use thinner patches than the authentic. And also different teams put the nfl logos in different positions

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but the players logo is red on a lot of jerseys now and I don't believe that can determine if its fake or real. You are right however with the stitching, you can easily tell which is real or fake

I sell jerseys, tell people right off the bat they're fake, and no one seems to care. I'd rather frame an authentic and keep it as memorabilia, and wear a fake and let that one get ruined.

@Moraud5386 I am with you on this one, but if you think about it.....If you are on a budget and have a choice between an authentic jersey for 250.00 plus tax or a very similar jersey at 50.00...sure it wont last you 10 years but if it lasts you half of that...especially if you only wear it once or twice a week....what do you think a consumer will choose??? the wellbeing of the economy and patriotism is not a factor at that point !

I'm not sure if my jersey is Fake or authentic. It has the colored players logo but the tag says made in china, which I heard means that it is fake. Also, my other jersey, which I found out is fake because it has the red and white players logo says it is made in China.

@benz1980 That is why I like the MLB. The authentics are authentic and are the same worn by MLB players. In addition, instead of being made in Vietnam or Korea, they are made in United States. The NFL`s replicas are gastly and their authentics aren`t really authentic.

Yep he's right the NFL has changed the logo at the bottom of the jersey to white in read so don't mislead people and make them think its a Chinese authentic...the rest is right but the logo is now white and red...

Hey cool video, I am a collector of jerseys, and I agree with what you point out here, but I just looked at the photo's of jersey's on NFL shop.com and found that the Colts and Packers (just to name a few, but there are many) jersey's have the simple red and white players assoc. badge on the tag as opposed to the color ones, there are a few that show the colored version of the badge as well. So what gives here? Is the NFL trying to screw us as well? Please respond. Thanks.

the real ones that players wear are made from wisconsin....but those "game issued" jerseys are very expensive...$400 and up, some go $1000 - 2000 if worn in a game by the actual player

If your shopping around for the "real deal" Authentic Jersey don't buy them on ebay or at swap-meets. An obvious "Fake Authentic" will be the price. NFL Authentic jersey normally cost around $200-300 dollars as opposed to a $40-50 dollar jesery. Make sure you buy your jersey's at a reputable outlet that has licensed NFL products rather than ebay or at a swap-meet.

The star doesn't make it fake. Most Patriots jerseys are like that. The away an home are different from authentic. And the red players logo doesn't mean it's fake. I bought a jersey off NFL Shop and it had the red players logo. I'm a Saints fan so it's nearly impossible to tell I they have a fake.

The "fake" jerseys I buy online cost me 20 bucks a piece. I'm a college kid. You think I'm gonna buy one for 300, or 10 for 200? I know they're not authentic, but you have to look really close to even notice. And for the price of a T-shrit at a stadium fan shop, I couldn't care less.

I get Authentic Mitchell & Ness NFL Throwbacks as well as Reebok current player jerseys for $80.00 ea. (They fall off a truck) I have a 1986 NY Giants Harry Carson Jersey. The away jersey is a fake too man, you've been had. The back of the REAL authentics have HUGE numbers, much bigger than the one on both of those. Plus the sleeves are longer (hence wearing a real on field requires longer sleeves that shorten when you put on shoulder pads). I have a Brady that is identical to you're away one and a Gronk identical to your home one, both are indeed counterfeits.

A great guy for custom jerseys is "ME" As good as the "real" thing but at a fraction of the Cost. They have degrees of Fakes. Some are not worth wearing. But others are Better than the Original. one thing i cant stand about people like this is if you are so concerned about authentic and fake, then go to nfl shop, footlocker, dick's or team websites and buy the authentic for $300. you go on ebay and buy a jersey for a 80%-90% discount from store price, and cry when you get it "It's not Authentic". if it is a concern then spend your money and leave no doubt.

I came to conclusion that all those jerseys are made in china or Asia...you won't see anything that are made in the USA period.....but good video and thanks for the heads up
