Best pregame opens ever! CBS should do this with their vast library of NFL footage or even NBC goes to doing this for FNIA but the majority of viewers won’t see it as FNIA starts when most late afternoon games are ending.

0:24, Dick Enberg is the greatest of all time💯He has many great calls, but this is one of the most memorable. Has to be in his Top 5. OH MY!!! and sorry Cleveland I know this one hurts but the call is a classic.

It's very hard to see at full speed, and nearly impossible to tell in person, but if you slow the video down to 0.25 you can see that it was a forward pass.

Mel Gray's first punt return TD and Tim Brown's very first TD seemed irrelevant when this first aired because the TD's were scored during the 1988 season, but decades later they are seared into our memories as part of NFL history

Nostalgia upon nostalgia. I miss the classic days of the AFC on NBC, the NFC on CBS, and MNF on ABC. Under the current contract they cross conferences between networks so it's a grab bag. Don't get me started on today's bland announcers.
