Thanks again for a great year of the show. This is the only Wager Talk show that I still watch from start to finish, no skipping. Great analysis, nobody talking over one another, no endless tangents about your personal fantasy teams, and no segments telling me that in games played under a 3/4 moon, where the home geam is coming off a loss of 12 points or more AND HAS REVENGE, those teams are 2-1 since 2002 (67%!!!!!) I was EXTREMELY suspicious of that -3 Charger line last week, literally EVERYONE being on 'em, and yet the line NEVER moves. I think we see a similar thing this week with Balt. Everyone will be on them, and, although the line IS moving in their direction, Vegas will still come out on top with a Bills cover, fleecing the 'joes' once again. 😮‍💨 (Joes' have been riding high all yr, now it's time Vegas gets their revenge)

I expect that game to get two-way action, not just public Baltimore $$. Clearly, the early week sharp $$ has pushed Balt to the favorite's role........Bills still might win but I don't see this one as a 'pros vs joes' type of scenario! The Buffalo defense gave up 44 to the Rams and 42 to the Lions and almost lost to New England at home so not sure what you mean about Buffalo's defense coming alive after Week 11 with the exception of the Chiefs game and Broncos WC game. They dominated a beat up 49ers team and a lousy Jets team at home and a Broncos team in the WC round (a team that the Ravens beat 41-10 in the regular season). Give me the Ravens by at least 3 points (I'm slamming -2.5 ATS on Ravens). Even with the addition of Milano, Johnson, and Bernard, I don't believe they'll stop Derrick Henry. Only way they keep Henry from getting the ball is if they make the Ravens play catch up by getting out to an early lead, forcing the Ravens to throw the ball or scramble with Lamar when he can't find anyone open, and even then Lamar is likely to pick up a lot of yards with his legs and set up Henry in the red zone for a TD run or a PA Pass to Likely, Andrews, etc.

@@teddycovers4687 The Ravens Pass D concerns me, they have given up the 2nd most passing yards in the league in the regular season. I'm second guessing my pick a little. Also Lamar has fumbled the ball 10 times this season and has lost 5 of those fumbles (The Bills have recovered 16 fumbles, which is the most in the league but I did look through Allen vs Jackson past matchups and Allen fumbled more frequently than Jackson). I'm pretty confident on KC -8.5 alternate spread against Houston due to a number of factors, including wind speed. What's your analysis on the Eagles vs Rams game? The 44 O/U has me concerned about taking Eagles -5.5. They have had lots of close games at home against sub par competition. Saquan Barkley is not going to go off for 255 yards again, but he may have a 125-150 yard game with 1 TD or something along those lines but I'm not sure it'll be enough to make it more than a 5 point game against the Rams. They could blow them out or the Rams could keep it close. The game being at 2 p.m. also concerns me to some degree cause Philly plays better at night time typically (with the exception of the Falcons MNF game). The other thing is obviously Jalen Hurts passing under 200 yards. Yards don't necessarily always win games (especially if your defense can make lots of stops and force 3 and outs and turnovers). I think the key factor will come down to the Eagles defense. Can they force turnovers and set up their offense with good field position?

There’s really not much more I can say about the Bills and Ravens. We all know both are elite SB contenders. I just have a slight preference to the Bills and need to see the Ravens prove that they can win these big playoff games. That being said, I’m also going to tease the Ravens up with the Chiefs.

I've been saying for the better part of the last two months that the AFC is chalk heavy but in the NFC, there's room for a shocker (or two, or three). Rams could well be that shocker this week.....

@ yeah but in years past normally the “books” have a pretty good sense of things. For example, Eagles being -5 favorites under a TD taking 80% or more of the money against an injured packers team. “The house always wins” so you’d think take Packers but they lose by 12

Enjoyed the show as always...this silly Monday night wild card game puts a wrench in it taking out 1 game this week for your analysis which is unfortunate. In the Bill's and Ravens game for me it's a matter of can Buffalo get a running game going themselves. Right now my research says no. Baltimore is the one team that I think can control Josh Allen's running. I don't think Buffalo can stop both Henry and Lamar. I'm on Baltimore here to avenge the loss in the 2021 Division game. OMG - Are you kidding? Take Detroit, in a 3-leg teaser getting 10, to negate the line. Combine with OSU (which will crush Notre Dame) and Kansas City. Does anyone think it makes sense to take Houston on the Moneyline vs KC? I didn't think so. Don't trust KC? OK, use same teaser with Baltimore and Buffalo OVER 41 - game will be 2nd half shootout for sure.

It seemed like Derrick Henry was getting nine yards on every run against the Steelers. Is the Ravens run defense better than the Steelers run defense? The Steelers defensive problem this year was their secondary. I think Derrick Henry will run. And it will take a lot of time off the clock. If Buffalo gets out in front by enough points, the Ravens might get impatient or feel compelled to pass more. Maybe this will come down to who plays better in the first half. Do some research y'all.

Buffalo has a small defense and have a difficult time with big running backs. Their linebackers are like 6’ 220 pounds. Henry is 6’3 240 pounds. Also, the colder it gets…the harder it will be to tackle Henry. Henry ran for 199 yards against Buffalo last time they met. I’m expecting much of the same.

But to answer your question…the Pittsburg run defense is better than Buffalo’s run defense. Just to add, Baltimore has the best run defense in the league. Cook had 39 yards rushing against Baltimore the last time they met.
