The Lions have scored the most points in the NFL and have given up the second fewest. Only the Chargers of all teams have given up fewer points than the Lions at this point in the 2024 season. There’s a reason why they’re Super Bowl favorites this year. And yet because the Eagles, Vikings, and Packers are hot on their tail, they have to keep it up. Crazy that both the Packers and Vikings could both be 12-5 or 13-4 Wild Card teams. The Vikings could even be a 14-3 Wild Card team. Which shows just how good the Lions have been this year.

@@famf6234whatever it is they’re not playing up to the 49ers standard set by Sherman and past veterans who built the culture there. They’re suppose play fast, physical, and aggressive defense. They lost this step last season too but it hadnt imploded the way it has this season. It’s incredibly frustrating and bizarre. I think at some point SF cannot keep changing up defensive coordinators at some point they will need one to stick around for more than one season the development and lack of defensive identity needs to be addressed. I understand 49ers fans are upset at the defense and coordinators but rationally speaking it’s not sustainable switching them up every season. This could be a reason why it looks so unstable.

Pleading to him not to fire Steve Wilks and John Lynch said Jed York’s mind was already made up the moment the SB ended. They went to bat for Steve multiple times in the 24 hours of the SB loss. He still got fired.

As much as I like Kyle as a head coach, he still has something to learn as a head coach. He’s been gifted with Lynch who created a team that could win the big game for the past 4-6 years. Now that window seems to be closed, at last for this year. Colts had 3 backup o-line men and AR was under constant pressure all game. If Ogletree didn't drop a sure TD, they would have scored a TD against your Lions. AR is improving and if not for dropped passes and refs taking away a lot of AR's great throws his stat line would have been a whole lot better.
