I'd be very wary of "getting the best of Aaron Rodgers". Ziggy's got it right, Rodgers runs things how he wants to run them regardless of what the coach wants. If you try to lay down the law ahead of time he either won't bother with your team or he'll just go into diva mode more gradually. Unless you can win every game he will turn into a problem.

Something I do think is important when comparing last year's Jordan Love with this year's Sam Darnold, is that Love didnt have Jefferson or Addison to throw to. Looking at the stats for just those 2 this year, Addison had more yards than any GB receiver had last year and anyone other than Reed this year. Jefferson has more than double the yardage of any GB receiver last year and every receiver other than Reed thid year (and he still has almost 700 yards more this year) Jordan had those stats without a clear #1 + #2 and without the best WR in the business

I wouodn't want to see Rodgers go to the Vikings. I don't think that Aaron is the answer for the Vikings, but after placing third in the division behind Detroit and Minnesota this year, even the slimmest possibility of Minnesota getting Favre 2.0 is daunting. But I really don't expect that because the problem with Rodgers is he is SO darned talented, but he cannot or will not get out of his own way. And he ALWAYS thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. You don't want that.

While winning games in the regular season may end up being more difficult, it can also toughen a team up for the Postseason.

Have to say I somewhat disagree about the biggest need on defense for the Packers being CB. I think it has moreso been a story of the pass rush letting the secondary down rather than the other way around. When Jaire comes in the defense improves so much because he can lock in on a number 1 long enough for a lackluster pass rush to finally get some pressure. My dream offseason acquisitions would be for Jacobs to lure Davante + Crosby in for a Raiders reunion (and obviously Davante being back with us)

Rodgers won 2 MVPs with LaFleur. While it’s true there was resistance initially he got on board with LaFleur’s offense. The only bad season was his last season when they missed the playoffs in 2022. The went 13-3 LaFleur’s first three seasons 2019-2021. It would be unreal if history repeats itself and Rodgers becomes a Viking just like Favre after his tenure with the Jets.
@JJB_80_8152 күн бұрын
But, that last season was also without Nathaniel Hackett, who was credited by everyone on being able to bridge the gap between LaFluer and Rodgers. Nathaniel Hackett was busy looking bad in Denver with Russell Wilson. Without Hackett, that bridge eroded quickly and no one ended up benefitting from it (other than Jordan Love). Hackett was able to alter Lafluer's offense enough to be tolerable for Rodgers. Without that mediator, the contention was palpable and the offense suffered.

Aaron Rodgers commentary, right? Yeah, the older he's gotten the more intolerable he's become to other's mistakes. If only he would hold himself as accountable. When others mess up, he goes into detail about it (aka "red line" post game press conference where the WR should have drifted there) BUT when he does talk about his deficiencies he's more abstract and generalizes without detail. That will upset teammates when he points them out.

Rodgers in that Vikings system would be MVP caliber shit imo Talkin about one of the best olines in the game with an actual vaguely competent run game, in stark contrast to the Jets. Jets pass blocking got a lot better as the year went on but first half of the season he was 2nd quickest in the league in release time. Jets wideouts ranked between 70-100 in getting open before the Davante trade. He was playin with injuries due to all the hits early on. Vikings actually got tight ends who can catch and block. Totally different offensive system man. Vikings is on another planet to the Jets who also had the worst coaching and playcalling in football.

I also wouldn't feel the same as when favre went to the vikings. Rodgers has been far less spiteful than Brett about being replaced and he was a lot more welcoming to Jordan than Brett was to him. The Aaron Rodgers to Minnesota conversation is bait, but it’s highly entertaining entertaining bait. While I agree with Ziggy the CB is technically a more dire need, WR is a big picture greater need. Love needs help, badly. Love is out there forcing balls to guys who aren’t open because Watson’s hurt all the time and Doubs and Reed (while good) can’t beat CB1s. Watching the last few weeks I felt bad for Love, dudes out there trying to make miracles happen but nobody’s open. There is no separation if Reed and Doubs have CB1 and 2 on them. They require MLF to scheme them open and the league has somewhat caught up to his tricks. GB needs a true WR1 or it’s gonna kill Loves confidence

I agree with Ziggy on the Aaron Rodgers take. He wants to win, but not at the expense of his ego. More than winning, he needs to be proven RIGHT in that winning. It's not a win if he can't take the majority of the credit for the win. Aaron Rodgers' mind tells him that he can win HIS way, and if it doesn't work then it must be someone else's fault. He's a team cancer. When WRs are begging/threatening to leave the team it says something about their relationship with the QB. I don't agree with Ziggy on Sam Darnold returning to the Vikings. Some team is always desperate for a QB to solve their issues and will overpay. I believe that signing Daniel Jones was a way for the Vikings to at least kick the tires on him as a bridge QB. KOC is a great maximizer of QB talent. No one could have predicted Sam Darnold's season to be as successful as it was. He was looked at very similarly to Daniel Jones before the start of the season. The Giants wasn't a good situation for a QB. Daniel Jones will play MUCH better for the Vikings if given the opportunity. Or, the Vikings or KOC will find an even better option in free agency that nobody expects. The Vikings aren't a team that needs to overpay for a QB, and THAT is a superpower that the Vikings should lean into. The Packers have a lot of needs, but none of them are truly desperate other than maybe WR and another difference maker on defense. Their Special Teams could also use DRASTIC improvement, too. Christian Watson and Doubs can't be trusted with their injuries. Out of 4 options, none of them stepped up and maybe all of them even regressed. Too many dropped passes. It's like all of them got comfortable with the status quo. Well, that position needs a shakeup. Maybe that's a veteran WR or maybe it's this year's version of Ladd McKonkey or Brian Thomas Jr. Maybe both. Yes, the Packers could use a CB or three, but what they really need is a difference maker on defense. At times the pass rush relied solely on Hafley's play calling/design. Our Defensive Tackles sometimes disappeared. Our Linebackers often gave up chunk plays in the middle of the field, making it so easy for the Dolphins and Lions that they didn't even have to challenge our CBs. Even with Jaire Alexander not playing, our CBs were usually good enough in a competitive game. What the Packers really need is another dude that our opponents MUST account for or that guy will wreck the game plan. What I am trying to say is that I don't want the Packers to pass up on drafting/signing a defensive difference maker just because he doesn't play CB. The Packers have plenty of solid rotational pieces that won't lose them the game. What they need is an Andrew Van Ginkel or a guy that can WIN them a critical game with a huge play. Thank you for the video! As always, great work!

If the Vikings have a dying request, make it now before Aaron Rodgers walks into the building! He will cause more problems than cures. He played mind games in Green Bay, causing problems. He went to the Jets, and they fell completely apart in under 2 seasons, and players are asking for trades if Rodgers stays. That should tell you A. Rodgers is the problem, not the other staff and players. Bring Rodgers in and make the Packers Lions and Bears happy as the Vikings will become the bottom dwellers of the NFC North.

The Packers will take a leap forward next season and win 12-13 games. Our toughest opponents (non-divisuonal) are all on our home turf.

Biggest need for me would be WR if only to have other Packers fans stop chirping about how overpaid Love is. Give him some sort of receiver similar to what the other top rated QBs around the league have.

We DON'T need any more drama at Quarterback, we're rolling with Mc'Carthy. Next step is to build up our OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE LINE!!! You can KEEP Aaron Rodgers!!! 😆😆

I’m a Packers fan but totally agree. Rodgers going to MN would be pure entertainment for most of us and misery for Vikings fans. Due to Rodgers age and prima donna head case Darnold is a much better QB than Rodgers at this point in time.
