You've got to go back and watch the Ertz catch on the live feed. He was touched down at the 41, the ref ran up from behind the play, marked the ball at the 42. It was a HORRENDOUS SPOT. Not putting the game on the refs, but that spot and review can't happen. Respot and measure at the least but to uphold a call that was clearly wrong is tough.

1:01:21 the funniest part about it being a clear first down is that a referee with zero ability to judge the spot of the ball is the one that made the call an entire yard short and then after replay they kept it a full yard short rather than putting it right on the 41 and manually measuring. Pure incompetence that leans on being suspicious

@MNZGaminКүн бұрын
He’s 1st in yards and tied for 1st in TDs with a 6:1 TD to INT ratio. This is with a bottom 3 ranked run game and pass blocking and one real WR. Stop.
@keenannash2947Күн бұрын
@MNZGamin he has a lower TD % than Lamar, lower YPA than Lamar, a higher int % than Lamar, lower rating, lower qbr, worse TD/int ratio... Oh, and that's not even including what Lamar is adding to the run game. You stop, there is no reasonable argument for Burrow over Lamar right now.
@DoctorGarroКүн бұрын
Joe Burrow has NOT been the best QB in the NFL this season. Lamar has. He’s well on his way to his third MVP. The fact that Burrow has torched a Ravens secondary that even allowed Jameis to look good does not make him the best this season, be real.

What's so weird about the Jets is that they are really not out of the running for a wild card yet. I'm not saying they're going to do it and I hope they don't because I'm not a fan but they're one five-game winning streak away from getting into the playoffs. I think they'll be a wild-card team with just eight or nine wins in the AFC. That could be Cincinnati or it could be one of those three win teams getting hot.

Glad you mentioned the “illegal contact” Chiefs got gifted their only touchdown on a BS penalty (would’ve been 4th and 20 out of field goal range). Having a field goal blocked is inexcusable but it has to be acknowledged how awful the officiating was in favor of the chiefs

Chiefs would be lost without the refs bailing them out constantly. there are missed calls in every game but the timing and severity of the missed calls on the Chiefs are fishy to say the least. can’t wait to see my Lions demolish them in the Super Bowl. refs won’t have a say in that one

@Treday2dayКүн бұрын
As a Chiefs fan I do agree that a lot of the Chiefs offensive struggles are 100% on Patrick Mahomes. His vision has got progressively worse over the last 2 years. He has the worst deep ball in the league. He misses open guys wide open constantly: more on that later. Left tackle situation is an issue but he still bails out of clean pockets and he runs into sacks. Skyy Moore’s career may be over because of Mahomes would never think to look his way, Worthy may be on the same track as he and Mahomes still don’t have a good connection. I don’t know how Mahomes has regressed over the last 2 seasons. I see less talented QB’s like Brock Purdy, Jordan Love and Geno Smith sling it all over the field but Mahomes will happily check it down to Kelce for a 7 yard gain over and over. I wonder if it’s Andy Reids west coast offense holding him back or if this just who Mahomes is now. I really appreciate having him as the franchise QB and winning all these Super Bowl, winning comebacks and making history. But damn Pat

"The ceiling of the Pittsburgh offense has been raised by Russell Wilson." Maybe. But it's still not very high. I'm convinced that is Marshon Lattimore plays this game, the Steelers don't just lose, they lose pretty badly. Russ has become a deeply inaccurate passer in the second half of his career. He CONSTANTLY needs to be bailed out by his receivers. He does have the willingness to just chuck it and pray, but that's a thing that will backfire against good defenses. Washington has been struggling with a serious corner deficiency all year long. This is a team that is particularly vulnerable to that strength. Tampa murdered them in week 1 because of this problem. So did Cincinnati. And Malik Nabers in the first NYG game. Every time this team goes against a high quality receiver, they've been reminded that their corner room is just inadequate for high level football. Also, on the Ertz call in that game - I don't actually mind it being called like it was...except for the fact that this is NOT how it's called in almost every other instance. When receivers are coming back for the ball on a reception, they ROUTINELY are given the spot where they first contacted the ball UNLESS they start moving backwards post-catch where it's not just their momentum carrying them. It's actually something that has irritated me for years as yet another bullsh-- way the NFL favors offenses. The refs always give the offensive player the maximum benefit of the doubt...until this play. THAT is the part that burns me up. It's probably the right call, but the right call is NEVER made in that situation. Similarly the fumble at the goal line for PIT. The refs got it right on the field, but on the broadcast Gene Steratore comes on and says he would have blown it dead because he thought forward progress was stopped. Whut? Gene, have you SEEN an NFL game in the last 10 years? They don't blow SH-- dead until the offensive player is either being driven backwards or has been deadlocked in one spot for 2-3 seconds. The RB was still driving sideways to try to outflank the defense. How many times have we seen defenders trip each other up in that situation, fall off, and the offensive player walks into the end zone? They NEVER whistle it dead as fast as Gene suggested they should have. Ideally all calls would be perfect and by the book, but at minimum, I want consistency. This call was consistent, the Ertz one wasn't. That said, the Commies didn't lose this game because of the refs. They made tons of mistakes that allowed PIT to stay in it and get the lead and shot themselves in the foot when trying to regain the lead. it's probably the sloppiest I've seen them play since week 2.

Da Bears built a Midwest Jets, except w/ an arm that's not attached to an imbecillic conspiracy ass. Yeah, it was all Justin, but hey, Steelers say thanks for gifting us the best back up QB in the league. Maybe the Steelers talk Russ into stickin' around cheap for a few more while Justin FINALLY gets a chance to develop (and learn to work under center), before replacing Russ. Of course that'll mean the Steelers will ready then for another #2, so the Bears should be done doing their damage to Caleb by then and he too can find a home in the Burgh? 😊
