There's always too much limelight on QBs. Allen is playing about as well as the position can be played but the Lions are a more balanced team. At this point it's about being competitive then turn it up in the playoffs. Makes you wonder, how good would the Chiefs or Eagles be if they had Allen? He's been a beast this year.

Please. Allen is 2-0 against the Lions. He also holds the NFL record for postseason quarterback rating: 149.1. He’s also made the post season in the past six seasons in a row and and has won the division past five seasons. Detroit is doing well this year, but let’s not crown them Lombardi winners. Goff isn’t Josh Allen. Goff is just surrounded by a better cast, more of a reason to count on ALLEN. If Detroit have been Bill crushers in the past few seasons Simms would have a point. Bandwagon.

The Rams win over the Bills demonstrated Buffalo’s poor clock management as well as 4 duds playing on defense. The last play highlighted what can go wrong when your special teams are one of the worst in the league.

Buffalo usually doesn't let the good offenses in the endzone, that's how they win. Make the other team kick field goals. Lions can score, though. They are super creative in the redzone because they are stacked. Lions should win this game. Just hope the Bills win.

He’s stubborn and lacks flexibility to change up his defensive scheme even when it gets absolutely blasted. It’s been the death of their postseasons the last four years.

Allen's mobility is going to be the biggest issue for Detroit. We struggle to contain QBs with that kind of ability to rush. Turnovers and time of possession are going to be HUGE in this game.

"Lions haven't been blowing teams out, they have 7 games decided by 1 score or less". Well, that leaves 6 games that were not and they have a +183 point differential. The only other teams over +100 are Bills(129) and Eagles(108). Here's the other division leaders, Steelers(85), Texans(20), KC(53), Bucs(54), Seahawks(19). The Lions 417 points are the most in the league and the 234 points they've allowed are tied for 2nd fewest. Going back 10 years, only the 2019(249) and 2023(203) Ravens have over a +200 point differential.

Detroit's Defense was at its most-injured last week. Detroit is getting back McNeil and Paschal for sure. Reader is 50/50 leaning OUT but Onwuzurike probably 50/50 leaning IN. And we have Pat O'Connor who proved himself in a big way last week. Oh, and Decker's back on the OL.

Definitely agree that the lions oline is a problem. However the bills did not get a sack or a turnover against the rams for the first time all season. I think theres a high chance they get both sunday and that helps them just enough. I know for a fact that the lions will drive the field and score on the bills but the bills redzone defense has been pretty good this year and i dont think their pass rush will be as bad this week. Id pick the bills to win because im a fan but im not crazy enough to think the lions cant

As a Bills fan I predict the Bills are going to get railroaded this week yet again. This style of offense is killer for the structure of the Bills D. My hope is seeing two high power offenses that can and will target the Bills D weaknesses will help the Bills learn and grow otw to the playoffs. They don't have to stop these offenses every drive. They legitimately just need like 3-5 stops per game against these types of teams to win when Josh and this offense are rolling like they are // will in the playoffs.

So many of these NFL podcasts focus too much on the quarterback. Goff doesn't have to outplay Josh Allen, Goff has the better personnel around him. Allen was better than Stafford last week, but the Rams won the game. I think the Lions are going to run the ball effectively, using long drives that keep Allen's opportunities to a minimum. Bills best rusher is Allen himself, and that's a dangerous way to play, that is, dangerous to his health.

I like the bend but dont break against like 28 teams in the NFL. But there a couple teams you cant just let get down into the redzone and tighten up knowing you can afford to give 3 because youre taking 6 on the next possession. The Ravens and Lions are on that short list. McDermott needs to be more aggressive on D and be willing to give up some big plays because those teams will either score methodically or on big plays. You gotta take some chances to get turnovers and swing the game here and there

The GB game was the first time anyone scored over 29 pts on the Lions this season and it’s only because they had a practice squad defense that had 3 days to prepare.
