Darnold threw his best touchdown pass of the season against GB in week 4. He threw behind the defender's head and hit Jefferson in the chest as Jefferson turned his head to look for the ball as he crossed the goal line. Darnold threw almost the same pass against Seattle in week 16 with the same result.

any realistic Vikes fan at this point in the season would put this game at a 50/50 at best for the Vikings... both teams are strong, but this is way different than Week 4 with Love playing at 60% and limited mobility. Packers fan for decades, but still realistic chance of pulling off the road win and evening the series on the year being at near full strength on this roster and gaining steam late in the year.

If we are talking about who “should” win this game, it’s the Vikings. Packers don’t have anything really to play for now. They already made the playoffs. Yes the Vikings did have close games against the Cardinals and Seahawks. The Packers have had extremely close games with worse teams. A win is a Win. However the Vikings havent had any crazy luck to pull out any wins this season. If anything they have overcome luck of other teams that have kept it close sometimes like when they played the Bears. The Packers most definitely should've lost to the Bears, they lucked out. The Pack also get alot of calls the Vikings never do. The one game the Packers got hosed by the refs was against Detroit. The Packers have the run offense that the Vikings “wish” that they had. It’s unfortunate, but the Vikings have repeatedly shown that when up against a good run defense, they can’t impose their will to run for two or three yards like both the Packers or the Lions. I wish they could, but whether it’s their play calling or just because they really miss Darrishaw or one or two of the other linemen are a little “hobbled” that they choose to try a play action pass scheme like they did late in the Seattle game?🤔

As another long time Vikings fan I completely agree and see this as the definitive difference. Top end healthy passing game is where the Vikes have an edge but I think this is a game where running and stopping the run makes a bigger impact.

As a lions fan i wanf GB to win obviously but they said the same thing about love playing the lions the first time, he shouldn't have even been and i agree, advantage us. With that said he was healthy the 2nd time and we didn't have reader, mcneil, or carlton davis on defense and we gave them 2 opportunities at an easy 14 points and we still fought hard enough(with a lil craziness) to come up with a w. So with that said I want the packers to win but if Minnesota comes the play I dont think they will lose this one. I believe Minnesota is the better team.
