Broncos fan here, I think Drew Lock still has a lot of potential. He just needs to make better decisions to avoid the INT. At the very least, I'd still be quite happy to have him as a backup.

@@burdeo2313he had two touchdowns, and that fumble wasn’t a traditional fumble-it wasn’t a lack of being able to hold onto the ball he just tried to throw it and want able too. His interception was also a tipped ball. I agree he does need to make better decisions however to say going 17 of 24 for 2 touchdowns and 1 interception is who he was in Denver just simply isn’t true.

@@Nightwishmaster For me it's the Jagaurs, not really for any particular reason. I did get to watch them in London last october. I only got to start knowing about NFL about 5 years ago when i randomly started watching Elite 11 on youtube and Trevor Lawrence was on there, so i followed his career a bit. But getting to know all the players, all the teams, new sport it was overwhelming so i found it hard at the beggininig. But last year i really started to watch it alot, I started watchign every teams highlights not just the Jaguars, started to learn more about all the NFL stars like Mahomes, A Donald, Rodgers, Allen, Kittle, Tyreek, Metcalf just to name a few and the how good Brock Purdy was filling as QB for 49ers was so good. I love it now, it's hard to watch live because of time zone but i always record what i can to watch whole games or atleast watch long highlights on youtube. Who's your team?

@@acm0045 It's probably the same for people in the US, you are brought up on American Football and Baseball (i think) In UK, you are brought up to support the team you are born in (usually) and then you play football from very young, all the way through school so it's just natural to like football. I can imagine at 40, starting to try to like football may be harder. Probably best to support a team, learn the players, watch their highlights and see it how it goes. Bit like how i started to like American football. Have you seen recently you have some big US stars that bought in english football teams? JJ Watt, Brady and LeBron. Maybe follow a team they bought? Liverpool, Burnley and Birmgingham.

Ofc he has different standards when talking about the two teams. The Vikings have Kirk "Fumble" Cousins as their QB. This guy is so bad, every good play has to be announced like a game winning hail mary, otherwise the vikings fans would notice that their offense is their special (needs) team. I am a vikings fan and i hate this guy. Kirk is payed like an outstanding QB but he isn't an outstanding QB. He is no leader. In most games Vikings get spanked in the first half so bad, that every moral is gone. And thats the point at which Kirk decides to start playing just to brighten his stats. In the last seasons around 70% of his TDs were in the second half of the game with Vikings beeing behind and most of the team loosing hope.

Call it a gut feeling, but I think Lock is going to be an incredible starter for this team in a couple years. He’s got a lot of Hasselbeck qualities in his game and he’s reaching the same part of his career that Hasselbeck was in when he took them to the super bowl. I hope they hold onto him.

So happy the NFL is back! Vikings 2nd stringers looked good in the first half. Our 3rd/4th stringers made some plays but overall were not great and ultimately lost the game. It's preseason, which means virtually nothing. But nice to see some of the rookies making plays. Vikings have several new players and a new defense so it may take the first half of the season to get to a good spot. I'm thinking Vikes go 11 - 6 this year and Seahawks 9 - 8.

Seahawks rookies and 2nd year players looked great!

Massive defensive improvement from the relievers. Kobe Bryant was flying around out there setting the tone and laying down hits, but we also got to see Mafe, Morris, Hall and Jackson pitch in on critical downs, and boy did they deliver. Some slipups in tackling that need to be corrected as they progress through the season, but I was impressed with the run stuffing, especially on 4th downs dropping the Vikings behind the line of gain. Offensive standouts were Koback and Bobo, and Charbonnet looked violent out there. He's seeking out contact, which is the style of running game I love, but he'll need to bulk up more in order to knock defenders back so he can fall forward. The linemen were spotty in some areas which made running the ball difficult at times, but they offered some decent pass protection for Drew Lock - he just needs to get the ball out on time. And as for special teams, wow! The muffed punt, and that close-but-no-cigar tip-toe play to keep the ball out of the endzone was sooooo close! Real heads up play by Bobo to make a jump pass back into the field of play, and they just missed it by a toe on the line! They put some great stuff on tape last night. Very happy with the depth of the roster, making it difficult to make cuts to the 53 man rotation.
