is it just me, or is his top speed pretty lacking though? at least in comparison to how quick he is, he seems to accelerate to top speed and hit open field in an instant, but once he's there he gets run down pretty easily. this will be the first nfl season i've been able to keep up with in several years (for reasons i won't get into), was really impressed with mcaffrey so i watched his 2022 highlights and that kind of stuck out to me - that he's insanely quick, but his top speed is, not bad on its own, but kind of terrible in comparison to his extreme quickness.

Niners third down efficiency in the first half was crazy. Wasn't the hottest start with a couple errant passes .. but, they stayed calm and pushed downfield. The way this entire team just keeps attacking and stays poised is impressive. Giants defense played hard, and Jones had a couple solid runs but, SanFran is too talented all over. Some people whine that their system is too easy .. but it's only easy because they have a dedicated group who are not only skilled, but play hard EVERY snap. Lotta teams / players in this league expect to win .. the niners work for it. Hate em all ya want .. this team is for real.

It began LONG before that. I think it more started eith people like the YAC bros and signing Juice early on in Ahannhan's tenure. To me CMC is the final missing piece that brings it apl together and creates a situation where the sum is somehow greater than the parts. Even though that sum is already the most versatile set of weapons in the NFL.

The YAC from Deebo, Kittle, CMC (not to mention his and Juszczyk's yards (and blocks) from behind the line), and basically anyone else who touches the ball is insane. Purdy constantly putting the ball where it needs to be. The defense is smothering. It's a good time to be a Niners fan. Bad time to root for anyone who has to go against them. Looking forward to watching them winning a championship or four that I can actually remember.

Purdy is so durable and reliable - like sandpaper. He keeps slowly grinding the opponent down. No mistakes; no turnovers. I thought NewYork brought some good pressure on the pocket in this game. It didn't matter in the end. Brock gets the ball to his playmakers and evenutally they break a tackle. The offense picked up a lot of key 3rd downs in the game. That long pass to Deebo in the corner had perfect arc and location to the sideline. Brock is improving with every game. Go 49ers!

While "game manager" is often seen as derisive, it's exactly what the niners need and Brock Purdy has done a great job in that regard. He's also a dawg and very good when pressured, while making few mistakes. In short, he's a very solid QB. Even if he won't throw 60 yard bombs (not that he has that type of receivers anyways), he's a phenomenal QB for what the niners need. Obviously also huge props to the coaching staff.

Purdy is such a smart, accurate qb. Dude is just different. Looks like a seasoned vet out there in just his 12th NFL start. Only QB in history to have a rating of 95 or better in first 6 NFL starts. Let's not forget he was a 3rd string rookie when he did that. So you know Jimmy and Lance were getting the majority of the reps in practice all year. So excited to follow this guy's career!

And there’s only like 2 great qbs and 3 good ones in the league in the league anyway. The moment that got me in this game was the Purdy to Bell TD. A QB in his first full season and a rookie WR whom they picked in the seventh round, a perfect pattern and even Peyton himself could not have thrown it better. Scary stuff for any other team in the NFC

Definitely a tough game for purdy not the most accurate today, but you can’t blame the dude, his top short route running wr was out and the defense blitzed 74.6% of snaps. ^ btw that’s a record for highest percentage of blitzes, he had 2.37 seconds on average to throw. So all in all the execution was great with the circumstance

What I was most impressed with is how Purdy made personal adjustments and played better down the stretch after a Shakey first half. And the scary part {for the league} as sloppy as it was, they're still scoring 30ppg game, now. Yet, moving forward, they Will continue to improve and gel. Feels like '84, with the potential to be '88 '89 domination vibes and '94 scoring potential. Let's GO 49ers
