I truly believe the "experts"are underrating what the Jets will be. They made a mistake not getting OBJ. To take the pressure off of Wilson and to give them a solid receiver tandem. Of course everything depends on health. They just have to stay healthy especially Makai Beckton and Rogers can't do a Payton Manning like dive because of his age. If Rodgers is the same quarterback he was the Jets will win the AFC East and be in the AFC championship game. The Jets, right now, really don't have a number two receiver but they do. He's just been buried since Salah became the coach. Denzel Mims is, by far, the Jets second most talented receiver and, with Rodgers as QB, he should be the number two receiver. If you watch the NFL you have to know how well a receiver plays and the numbers he puts up is dependent on the quarterback that's throwing the ball. These are the best receivers in the world, if the ball is thrown in a catchable place a starting receiver is going to catch it. That's why Patrick Mahomes losses Hill and wins a SB. Mahomes is so good as long as he has NFL caliber wide receivers he's going to put the ball where it's most catchable and the WR is going to catch it. Back to Mims. Lazard and Hartman are not number two receivers. Mims should be, by the 5th, 6th game. Mims runs a 4.3 40, at a long 6'3", with a 39.5" vertical. His initial scouting reports emphasize the fact that he is most proficient at catching difficult balls. 50-50 type balls, balls where he goes over the DB. Balls where he bails out his quarterback who makes a bad throw and he is a dangerous deep threat with his speed. Rogers is not going to make bad throws. With Rogers as his quarterback, who will throw the ball to the best spot for Mims to catch it, he should be a 1,000 yard + receiver. Giving the Jets a intimidating one two punch at WR with Wilson. A tandem that Jet fans, analysts and the rest of the NFL do not expect. I've been confident about this since 2020. If you remember in 2020 the Jets ended up winning two of their last six games but really three of their last six games if you include the Raiders game they threw away. Mims was hurt until the 9th game of the season. He was totally healthy for the last six games or so. If you watched those six games in which they should have won three it was clear that suddenly Darnold had a NFL caliber WR to throw to. I believe Mims was the reason the Jets did win two of their last six games (3 really). Which was not exactly a good thing because it caused them to lose Trevor Lawrence who played like a star in Jacksonville last year and is poised to make Jacksonville a super bowl contender for the next 15 years. It was also the reason they ended up with the worst starting NFL quarterback ever, Zach Wilson. The Jets stay healthy they finish 14 and 3, They win the AFC East, they get home field advantage in the playoffs and play KC in the AFC championship game. The Jets are more talented than KC overall. If Rogers is the quarterback he's always been at his age and he's healthy and the team is healthy the Jets should beat Kansas City which means they should go to their first super bowl since 1969. A super bowl they should win because the NFC is so weak. Of course it's the NFL and the health of the team will determine if this comes true or not.
