Entering the 2003 NFC Playoffs the Philadelphia Eagles were the number one seed with a 12-4 record. However, their opponent, the Green Bay Packers, came in unfazed controlling the game with a 17-14 lead in the fourth quarter and the Eagles were facing a fourth and 26 from their own 26-yard line. Donovan McNabb would convert on a long pass to Freddie Mitchell. Philadelphia would go onto tie the game with a field goal and ultimately win it with another field goal in overtime.

It really was a great playoff that year. I was in college. Went to a girl's apartment for a get together to watch the Rams Panthers game. Some girl ruined my new leather jacket opening up a 2 liter of coke that was dropped. Anyways had a great night and it was a great game. The Superbowl was awesome, my Patriots won. I missed the halftime fiasco because I was out of it, not paying attention. I was rooting for GB in this game. I couldn't believe they blew this game. Mike Sherman was terrible.

Me too. That year's team had a real "team of destiny" feel for a while. There was the game in Oakland after Favre's dad died, then the miracle Nate Poole play just for the Packers to get into the playoffs, then the infamous Hasselbeck moment in the wildcard round. The day before this game, the Rams (who had GB's number those years) got upset by the Panthers, so it all seemed to be lining up for us right up until 4th & 26.

Favre was a double edged sword no doubt. 2 amazing TDs 1 game ending INT. That Packers O line blocked so well and Green was such a powerful runner. Packers REALLY seemed like a team of destiny. Starting with the MNF game in Oakland after Favre's dad's death, to the miraculous Arizona TD that knocked the Vikings out, to the "Hasselbeck game" the week before this, to the Rams being knocked out the day before, it seemed like Green Bay was destined to get to the Super Bowl. Of course Favre ruined the storybook ending as only he could.
