I think I see what went wrong. First half was largely quick passes. In the 2nd half and especially the 4th quarter, there's nobody ending their route within the first 8 yards of the line of scrimmage. It shifted to these long developing pass plays. The WRs are too mid to get open. Then because it took so long for the routes to develop, falcons started pressuring Bryce and his performance got worse and worse

First NFL game regular season, STILL couldn't rattle him enough to keep him scoreless. Liking Carolinas chances rn with him. The defensive schemes are too mentally quick and complex for rookie QBs ofc... But it won't take him long to figure these coverages out tho at this rate, with more film study sessions. He'll be looking like his HS highlights in no time.

That's been NFL for decades, 5'11 or shorter get no love and respect from sports media. Like they say, you gotta prove you can play being short... where you gotta prove you can't play while being tall. He sat in the pocket for seconds on a bunch of plays without finding an open receiver so I think it's a fair thing to question. I don't buy these people saying there was no one open either. In the NFL, no secondary can blanket all the skill positions for that long.
@Blissfulanon

1. the receivers weren’t getting separation. Look at every time he threw away and ask yourself who was open. 2. anyone else see the flick of the wrist 52 yard bomb he threw. 3. He threw those 2 picks both to Bates, on what looked like the same exact route to the middle of the field. That’s the definition of rookie mistake, which is ok and almost expected to a degree. All they need is more snaps with each other to form timing, plus they really do need Chark out there to stretch the field. @@JohnnyLemonade-sq5ow sometimes you have to, to be able to deliver the ball accurately. He missed a lot of throws in the 2nd half. Falling away from contact. He doesn't set his stance kinda like what Cam used to do. Always throwing off balance but cam relied heavily on his arm strength. Bryce doesn't have that.

Fields had better stats than young just saying. Fields 216 64% 1TD 1Int. 59 rushing Young 149 52% 1TD 2int 17 rushing He had help in the running game 137yds and the 4th most time to pass the ball. You guys need to stop giving the little guy excuses. He also played a really bad Defense good luck when that top 10 saints D comes to town.
