It wasn't a "foul for tripping" because he missed the block and fell and his leg hit someone. That's Football. Plus the Jets are kicking a fg from there regardless. Jets may not have the QB they hoped for but they had all the heart last night. Whether that was 9/11 or "for Aaron" or is just who they are. All that matters is they saw they can play with anyone and now the game will be at least designed for Zach or the Jets trade someone from the d line and probably Zach to a team that needs defense and don't think they will be able to keep their current qb. I believe if Aaron is able to transition to qb coach then Zach could legitimately take this team anywhere. Breece, Garret, Cook, Lazard, Q brothers, Sauce and Reed and that d-line is gonna be an all time kinda defense. The Jets walking off on 9/11 after so many found themselves rooting for Gibson during hard knocks as a UDFA and saw that this wasn't a fluke, he's got that something special where he doesn't need much to do the job and I would be surprised not to see a nice return every week from him. And seeing Hamlin definitely got me teared up. What a comeback for Hamlin with his life on the line.

Besides the punt return, my favorite play of this game was Zach Wilson's pass that was intercepted by Matt Milano. Wilson made a bad pass, but he came back and put a hit on Milano which prompted MIlano to taunt him forcing a 15 yard penalty for taunting. Mad respect for Wilson for taking the hit, brushing off the taunting and leading his team to the win. Great win Jets!

Zach Wilson ended the 2023 regular season ranked last in the NFL among qualified players with a 30.6 adjusted QBR and 30th out of 32 quarterbacks with a 77.2 passer rating. Such numbers combined with the fact that it's no secret the Jets want to get rid of Wilson. The Jets management has NO ability to develop a young QB. First the Darnold disaster and now Wilson. And apparently Wilson didn't get along with Rodgers either which likely also led to his downfall.
