Jason Verrett will be questionable this week, and if he plays, theres a decent chance hes better than Moseley. 49ers are as fully healthy as possible at this point, only missing Armstead and Kinlaw

Fun fact: these 2 teams have played 15 times. The chargers have an 8-7-0 record against the 49ers. The last 20 years (2002-present) the chargers have won every match-up. Before that (post 1982-2000) the 49ers won every match-up. The very first match-up in 1972 was a blow out win for the 49ers (first playoff year for the team in the merged league) and then the chargers won every match till the mid 80s. These teams take turns winning on a consistent basis based on how the roster of the team is constructed. They seem to be out of phase on roster construction whenever they meet so for the last 40 years they haven't really produced that great of match ups (at least consequently). The last 3 matches that meant anything were the 2014 week 16 game, the week 15 match-up in 1994, and superbowl 29.

Ekeler has been playing on the Chargers where expectations weren't so limited, pretty solid QB too. McCaffrey managed to be useful and gain momentum all year long on Carolina and has wrapped up another 3 TD's in his first real game involving any training time. I'd expect to see a lot more of that between him and Deebo. It's almost as if there isn't enough time in a game with what San Fran has to use on offense now to compare any particular one party against Ekeler.

@1:40 - This is a prime display of what makes Deebo so unique and explosive! In fact, just about all the clips of Deebo are amazingly effective in displaying his unique abilities I'm the open field. @@Brian-lf4jv You are right that our D-Line is our biggest weakness right now, and that we are full of injuries, but our D-Line in the games against Chiefs, Broncos and Raiders didn't allowed more than 100 yards, in important games our defense showed up when needed Our offense is very injured (including Herbert who isn't playing as good as last year because of a rib injury), we don't have a single good WR for now, but that didn't stopped us to win 4 of the last 5 games, all the chargers need to win is the defense to stop the 49ers rushing offense (not the passing game, it sucks), and hope that both Herbert and Ekeler put up great numbers. Chargers are a handful when fully healthy and Herbert is on. However with 5 probowlers missing, 2 being their best receivers, I expect lots of short passes and screens. Meanwhile the Niners bring back 7 impact players and 1 rotational piece in McKivitz. SF has clear advantages on both sides the ball except for QB. If Herbert brings his A game and Niners turn the ball over then LA has a chance. Otherwise they are undermanned and outmatched. I expect the latter, Niners win 27-10

One of the 49ers biggest issues is the ability to get down the field way too fast and score, assuming the scheming of Shanahan and the talent they get to work with. When they were doing clock control teams struggle for obvious reasons. 49ers defense is also pretty solid, all the more reason you'd think regardless of how they decide to play it shouldn't matter but like every game it's up in the air. There's a reason 49ers are 4-4 and not 8-0 lol.

The chargers have beaten nobody teams up to this point, and barely in some cases. Not as good as they think they are, W/L records don't matter when it's against sub par competition. Based on that....Its the talent that matters. I'll take BOSA, DEBO, AIYUK, KITTLE, CMC, JUICE, Williams over any player on that team in the same position. The only position that has a better player is Herbert.

Pretty convenient you forget the fact that the Chargers are torn to shreds right now. Allen has been gone most of the year. Mike Williams will miss some time now. Pro bowl LT slater is gone for the year pretty much. Bosa missing a lot of time as well. Herbert has been playing with broken rib cartilage. JC Jackson goes down with an injury when he was finally starting to play well. The 49ers should win this game, and they should win it by two scores. If the Chargers somehow win this game, the 49ers are just pretenders then. No excuse for them to lose
