I think "The Comeback" game with the Bills vs. Oilers should be on here. I literally couldn't care less about either team, but that game gives me chills.
@thomasc.52196 жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure. I think only reason it's not is cause the Bill's didn't end up winning. But you are right it was a great game. Idk if anybody else feels the same but to me football just hasn't been the same since 2009. Everything just seems too flashy anymore. Offense rules the game. I miss those 80s and 90s era games where it was hard nose, hardcore defenses. Touchdowns just seemed to mean more if that makes sense, it's hard for me to explain. It just seems like nowadays it's more about fantasy football and shootout type games. Yeah I know there were offensive giants in those eras but there were only a couple a year. Now it seems like over half the QBs have no problem throwing for 4000 plus yards every year. Getting 1200 yard receiving was a great year, now that's pretty much the standard and it used to be a great accomplishment to have 2 wr do it same year. Not anymore. I miss seeing those stud running backs. Running it right up the middle. Grinding for every yard. There are a handful these days but you dont see those 35-40 rushing attempts by a single back running behind a great fullback. Now most teams use 2 if not 3 and they all have a job. Your powerback, your speedy outside man and reciever/3rd down back. Idk the game just isn't the same. I know times change but it just doesn't seem like the heart of the sport isn't there. Players are so cocky and only care about their fantasy stats. Not caring about what can help team unless it involves them. So many divas. QBs lack overall skill across the league, its top heavy with the elite but then you have a couple good game managers but then huge dropoff in talent. Running backs outside the elite seem a dime a dozen. Very few strong possession receivers that aren't afraid to run across the middle and take out a safety with a strong catch. And dont even get me started on defenses. I know the rules favor offense but God, defense just seems soft. Defensive coordinators seem to not have any idea how to coach simple schemes. I sound like a bitter old man but I'm not haha I'm only 30 and like I said the game doesn't have the heart it once did. Sorry for rant

As a Niner fan, the 2009 Cardinals vs Steelers was one of the most incredible games I've ever seen. That game had EVERYTHING: Comebacks, explosive plays, defensive scores, controversial TDs, it was an all out SLUGFEST from start to finish. It wasn't a good half, or even a legendary comeback, it was an entire GAME. As a fan of the sport, anyone watching that one has to recognize the level of play in that game, and for it to be in a Super Bowl just elevates it even more in my book. Again, outside my own personal biased 49ers favorites, that game sticks out to me as the best one I've seen as a FOOTBALL fan. Epic battle both ways..

@maniacmasturbator24116 жыл бұрын
Harry Engel the Drive game shouldn’t be that high. The game is rather overrated and both teams have been in better playoff games. The next year’s AFC championship game between the same 2 teams was a more exciting game. Denver going up big, 21-3 and 28-10, and Cleveland inching their way back in. Byner was the main reason the browns were even back in position to tie as he making countless big plays catching and running, and finished with almost 190 yards from scrimmage. There were a lot of big plays from both sides, and Castile doesn’t get near enough credit for making a great defensive play. It’s always remembered as “The Fumble” and i bet most people don’t even remember the name of the guy making the strip. I also like the Drive 2 better than the Drive. Houston had a 15 point line early on but did what those Oilers team always did in those playoffs. Blow leads. On the final drive, Elway did an amazing job at helping Denver convert on both 4th and 6 and 4th and 10. And the FG was extra nerve wrecking if you were a broncos fan, the snap again was shaky. A bad snap earlier was the reason why Denver was behind 1 instead of tied. The Marathon at the Lake, the week before The Drive, was another classic. Cleveland looked dead in the water with about 4-5 minutes left, down 10, and Mark Gastineau certainly did his part to help hurt his team with the roughing the passer penalty on that 3rd down.

Biased much? That game was a failure of execution. Ravens gave up 2 return touchdowns, Manning had a bad pick 6 and another bad pick that lost in overtime, the Broncos secondary choked, John Fox sat on the ball to end the 4th quarter - it was a s*** show. The most intriguing part to me was the ridiculous length, going well into double overtime.

SB 51 is too high. Great comeback by the Pats. But the guy who said "this wasnt a historic Falcon meltdown, it was just great Patriot execution..." That could be the most ridiculous comment Ive ever heard on these. Of course it was almost flawless Patriot execution,& proved why Brady is GOAT,& Bellichek is the coaching version. Patriots have nothing to apologize for, they did what had to be done. But Atlanta completely choked that game away. Kyle Shannahans play calling, Matt Ryan, the Falcon defense all made multiple egregious mistakes. I'm probably forgetting some as well. It doesn't take anything away from the Patriots, that what great teams do...keep fighting,& capitalize on the opposition's mistakes. I have no dog in this fight, I'm a Bronco fan. But while you must give full credit to NE, ya also gotta recognize Atlanta froze up, & mention how they helped the Patriots a lot. You almost can't have a 25 pt 3rd qtr comeback, without help from the team ahead. Same thing with the Bills comeback from 35-3 in that Wild card round. The Packers and Redskins Monday Night Football game from 1983 should've been seriously considered for this list. That game had one of the wildest offensive shootouts in history, with both teams combining for 95 points, 771 yards passing, and 254 yards running.

Here is a case as to why Super Bowl 32 is the absolute best Super Bowl game of all time, and why its omission from this Top 10 list is a travesty: 1. John Elway finally wins the Super Bowl after three losses in Super Bowls 21, 22, and 24. 2. John Elway VS. Brett Favre, with the Packers being 14+ point favorites to go back-to-back. 3. The NFC's Super Bowl winning streak finally gets snapped at thirteen. 4. Both teams scored a touchdown on their opening possession. 5. The game stayed close throughout, where at one point, there would three ties. 6. John Elway's 3rd down helicopter dive in the 3rd quarter. 7. Terrell Davis battling through migraine headaches to score 3 touchdowns and win Super Bowl MVP honors.

How is Super Bowl LI on here and NOT Super Bowl LII? The Falcons completely blowing a lead and putting up zero points in the second half vs. a BACK UP quarter back going toe to toe with Tom Brady, with both teams putting up RECORD yardage in any Super Bowl EVER. It was one of the most exciting Super Bowls of all time and, frankly, this list is bullshit without it.

Lmao that's why this list was made by people who know football and fans are just biased. I think 51 deserves to be number 1 and im a packers fan. Superbowl 52 is just a regular shot out game no real drama. Just a dime a dozen game where the 1st ever overtime in superbowl history was made with the largest deficit ever in post season. Everyone by halftime time was planning a funeral for the Patriots but won it. With every blown lead there is an epic comeback.

SD-Miami is way too low. #6? That game was absolutely amazing. SD takes a 24-0 lead and Miami makes a great comeback with their backup QB Don Strock, including the famous hook and ladder at the end of the first half to cut it down to 24-17. SD looked almost done with 4-5 minutes left, down 7, Miami inside the Chargers 20. Then SD forces a fumble and ties the game with less than a minute left: Then Miami drives down (SD actually got an INT at mid field but fumbled promptly after that, it would be incomplete nowadays). It looks like Miami is about to win, then Winslow just manages to get a slight piece of the ball on the FG and cause a miss. Then SD takes it down and it looks over, but the Famjly Feud kicker misse a chip shot. Then Miami took it down, and it looked over, but SD got another block! Then there was a turnover forced by MIA in there somewhere, can’t remember what exactly, but SD got it back and fouts hit joiner on a long pass, and a FG is finally made to end the game.

@@phillyeaglesphan Well for one since you're an Eagles fan obviously you'd think the game was more exciting than me (I'm a Packers fan btw). I thought Super Bowl XLV was pretty exciting watching Green Bay beat Pittsburgh, but I'm guessing you probably thought that game was pretty forgettable. Also, yes the strip sack was pretty late in the game, but the Patriots had just started that drive & weren't about to score so for me it just felt kind of anti-climatic. It was a good game, but not top 10 all time material in my opinion.

phillyeaglesphan My guy there was no defense. Points need to be earned, and they weren’t in 52. 53 was a masterclass in defense, but wasn’t great because of offensive ineptitude. 49 was great because it had it all. Back and forth, great offense, great defense, a dramatic finish. The ending of 52 could be predicted after the strip.
