I find it crazy that so few players in history have ever run for 2000 yards and here we are in an era where nobody cares about the RB and a guy does it and could definitely break the record if they played next week on FEWER rushing attempts then the all time leader, and we just seem to dismiss it like it's not historical and worthy of MVP. I've seen QBs throw for 4000 yards (50 of them). I've seen guys throw for 50 TDs. So while Lamar and Allen have put up great numbers, I've seen guys do more in recent years. I've never seen a RB in my almost 40 year life be as impressive as Saquon this year. And that included Henry going for his 2000 year.
@jeremytaft824720 күн бұрын
After a qb who didn’t even lead in any stats at his own position won it last year I gave up on any other position ever winning it. They may win offensive/defensive player of the year but not MVP. Is what it is I guess.
@historybuff148320 күн бұрын
Its a MVP worthy season, but there are like 9 RBs who had more yards through 16 games and 14 players with more yards per game. Its not a legit record and shouldn’t be treated as such says Math and logic.
@aschway20 күн бұрын
Don't forget about CJ2K, he had a great year with the Titans.
@jasonlarson988620 күн бұрын
Dude I agree that MVP should be open to positions outside of QB. For example CMC should have won last season.
@tjsumigray2220 күн бұрын
Josh Allen is the most valuable. Saquon has had the best season = OPOY. Simple.
@REVolutionsDanceTampa20 күн бұрын
MVP Chris is right if you’re going to campaign for the MVP there are two things you need to do for your team. You need to beat the toughest teams on your roster and prove that you are one of the big boys. And give your team that surge knowing that they are beast. - The other thing you have to do is beat the easy teams on your schedule so you can add that record to make sure you can finish the end of the season with a rest week either first place by or last game of the season that doesn’t mean anything Lamar lost to the Chiefs and Eagles Josh Allen beat the Chiefs and the Lions Lamar lost to the Raiders and the Browns. If he had beat just one of those teams, his team could be preparing for the playoffs right now, but instead they have to play to the last second of the last game of the season. Allen beat the Jets and the Patriots and now his team gets to start preparing for the playoffs a week ahead of time. When the stats are close, these two things are the difference makers

Darnold should be MVP over Allen. 7 more pass TDs and 400 more pass yards. 14-2 QB coming off the street off a ruined career who was expected to go like 2-4 and get benched 6 games into the year. Btw, Darnold has 13 games with a rating over 100. Allen has 10 such games. Darnold QB rating 106 to Allen’s 101. Its not a popularity award. Give it to the most deserving player. Im even fine if Barkley or Lamar gets it, but Allen and not one mention of Darnold MVP by almost anyone in the media? Also, don’t give me that rush TD BS. Most of dudes TDs are one yard runs, same as Hurts.

I miss football being about the island as much as it used to be. Cornerbacks have tremendously fallen off, and gotten dumber. Surtain is a great exception, and Riley Moss has a lot of promise still. Surtain's not as good as Bailey and Sanders yet, but he's getting there.

Hit the nail right on the head Chris, I have not been impressed by Love's play this year. Whn we need him to carry the team with a good game, he's just average. But last week vs Vikings, I think the play calling was flaccid

The offensive geniuses with the Colts, Bengals, and Giants in particular are not getting it done and fire them right now with the Nagy, I need a QB. They are not complete teams and the Giants have never had a top half offense with their offensive coach. The Browns are in complete tank mode, I do not think the coach will get fired till Watson is released may be a factor, and may be looking for QB to have a better season. A coach can easily tank with maybe not a preseason gameplan because that is obvious, but one that is not crafted for the opponent, 1st down play calling which is usually predictable but make sure to run up the middle 80% of the time, some teams actually unsuccessfully do that most of the game.
