Seems like anytime the Bears are talked about only the 85’ team is acknowledged at having success. They mentioned the 88’ NFC championship game, but what about in 2005 when they made it to the superbowl? Or in 2011 when they made it to another NFC championship game and probably would’ve won if they didn’t end up having to rely on a 3rd string QB halfway through. Or even a few years ago when they had that infamous “double doink” at the end of a playoff game, who knows how far they would’ve gone after that. No doubt that they haven’t had an amazing QB in a long time, but the team hasn’t been a total dumpster fire for 40 years

Joe Burrow might be the best QB in the league. He doesn't have a HOF coach or a great defense and his O-line has been disaster since he was drafted. Mahomes is a good QB but Andy Reid was winning playoff games with Alex Smith and KC O-Line has been top 10 at least. Brady destroyed Pat and KC, Jimmy G had one over-thrown ball that would have won for the 49ers in the game they should have won. Add in the fact KC has a really good D and you see now that it's important to have a good all around team. Burrow has had the luxury of 2 really good receivers but nothing else.

your argument actually makes the case for Josh Allen more than Burrow. Burrow has an offensive coach and arguably one of the greatest collection of weapons in league history to work with. I can't even imagine what Allen could do if he had years with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon. Don't give me the OLine stuff either because both have had bad lines... one guy just makes his look a lot better than it is because he can escape the pocket, make off platform plays at the highest rate and difficulty in the league, and is really hard to bring down.

Both have had great receivers, in fact, Allen offensive stats were pedestrian until Diggs came along, where as Burrow took the Bengals to back to back AFCCGs when both Higgins and Chase were out for 5 and 6 game stretches during those years. This will be a fun year and I'll be pulling for Allen and the Bills until they play my Bengals - Good luck this year!
