I saw that Travis Kelce reached a top speed of 19.86 mph when he ran past Fred Warner to set up the Chiefs game-tying field goal, tuat was his fastest speed in seven years. He almost had 100 yards in the second half alone. He is a cheat code. Enjoy him while you can & never take him for granted.

Feel bad for that DB that had to tackle him. Kelce is 250-260lbs. I couldn't imagine a dude that big running full speed right at me, and if I don't tackle him, he may score or, at a minimum, get a few extra yards. Gotta have balls to do that.

I think Chris forgets that Reid does his first 15 plays scripted regardless of what defense is doing. he does this to see how defenses respond to different things he shows them. Most of the first half was those 15 plays. After that Reid calls plays based off of what defenses are showing him, thats the point they started moving the ball much easier. People can call me a liar about this if they want, but Reid openly admitted he does this several years ago.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I LOVE how animated he gets!!! I LOVED his coverage after the Chiefs beat the Ravens!!! I didn't know that Kyle Shanahan is like his best friend?! I don't why BUT I ended up watching this 2x! I KNEW sum1 said, seeing Mohomes throw live, made him realize that tv or in film dozn't give him justice & equally said, that w/ Purdy, he looks better on tape than live! I felt he wz the MOST fair!!!! I'm tired of seeing SO many 49ers fans say that the Refs were showing favoritism 2 the Chiefs & so many said they NEVER ONCE got called on holding!!! I saw McDuffie get called on holding, watching the game on mic'd up!!! He clearly wz holding & they showed the clip & the Broadcasters pted out that it wz definitely holding!!! I also didn't til watching the mic'd up version, whn McCaffrey fumbled the ball, the Broadcasters LITERALLY said, that Kittle could've gotten the ball, BUT he wz 2 busy being chippy w/ a Chief player & NOT focused on what wz literally happening!!! What Mahomes always says 2 his players, "We dominate on the field til the whistle blow!!!" Meaning the play is NEVER DONE til the whistle blows. Obviously the 49ers were clearly dominating the 1st half of the game!! BUT I KNEW they were in trouble by 1/2 time hving possession of the ball 4 that long & hving only 10 pts & the Chiefs w/ 3?! The last thing, I DON'T think that the Chiefs' Defense EVER REALLY got the recognition they deserved all season or in the playoffs!!! But in many ways that also worked 2 their advantage!!!

Let’s get one thing straight us chiefs fans do not take the Super Bowl for granted. “Chiefs fans were creeping in right before the game started.” Yeah we do that at our home games it’s called tailgating and do it a lot considering KC is known for BBQ. I’m pretty positive that California being so close to Nevada and that most people in Cali have a lot of money had a lot to do with so many 49ers fans at the Super Bowl. Ask any Chiefs fan if this last Super Bowl any less than of the other ones we won they will most likely tell you that this one meant most to them.

At 2:30 in the second quarter when Bosa made the tackle down the line lost the 49s the game. If you recall the zone read when Mahomes ran for 20 Bosa did the same thing. Then the 4 and 1 in overtime when Mahomes ran and got the first down Bosa did the same thing. On the winning touchdown same action and Bosa ran after the back and was totally out of position for the 3rd crucial play. If you are any good coach when you seen him make that first tackle at at 2:30 in the 2nd quarter you know exactly what to run to take him out the play. 3 times after the first tackle was big plays for the Chiefs including the game winner. Prove me wrong. Not one time did he look at Mahomes.

Brady had game winning drives on most Super Bowl and afc championship games he played in. He actually consistently beat a team much closer to his caliber consistently in the Peyton manning colts. Colts are way better than most teams the chiefs play to get to the Super Bowl. You can say Mahomes is more talented but the goat conversation needs Mahomes to win 5 more times due to Brady being undefeated against Mahomes in the playoffs when he wasn’t even in his prime and having 4 more rings

Ok Mahomes did nothing for 3 quarters of this game but his defense kept him in it until he figured it out. It definitely is a team game. Also, Mahomes had tyreek hill and kelce for his first Super Bowl and kelce for the other two. He’s never not had a hall of fame tight end with him. Brady had nobody for his first 3 super bowls. It was a defensive team that just needed him in clutch moments.

He beat mahomes the first year mahomes ever started, in overtime of the afc championship, Brady had the number 1 defense that year, mahomes had the 31st overall defense. He beat him in the Super Bowl with an all star team and mahomes entire offensive line was out and most of the backups were out, and if his wrs just caught the balls that hit them in the hands and face, the chiefs still might have won, you flip the teams the qbs were on and mahomes easily beats Brady, he’s better 🤷‍♂️ Brady stays in New England instead of going to Tampa and he probably misses the playoffs, mahomes is the best qb I’ve ever watched and it’s not close.

Final thought: I'm not sure if it was fatigue or just bad coordinating, but SF gave KC the numbers to either side a number of times, late. There was the "triple-option" play where Mahomes scrambled, and the Corn Dog to finish the game. The triple-option play looked like a plain blunder. The Corndog play, it looked like exactly what happened to Philly, with the defense executing its shift, instinctively, without WATCHING to see if the motion was completed or if it was a corndog situation. Still, the masterful job of formation, timing and execution of the misdirection was so good, that even if you were paying attention, you couldn't see Hardman behind the 2 TEs at the snap.

Simms is right, Dan Quinn, who was Falcons' HC, doesn't seem to get any of the blame for Atlanta blowing a 28-3 lead to New England in the SB, Shanahan, who was the OC at the time, does seem to get blamed a lot more... Dan Quinn also seems to have avoided the heat from Cowboys' getting trounced by Green Bay in the playoffs this year... As bad as Dak tends to be in the playoffs (or just against good teams), Dallas' VAUNTED Defense gave up 48 points (would've been a 50 burger had Green Bay not sat their starters towards the end) and were 27-0 with 2 minutes to go in the 1st half. Dan Quinn seems to have gone under the radar again and he's been rewarded with another HC position. smh

I like Chris Simms, hes always been a cool guy with good judgement and totally loose unlike his more uptight father ..he must have gotten his personality from his mom and game skills from his dad. This was a good game that kept the fans interested because it was so close, but if you know Mahomes hes going to pull it out in the end more than not.

The reason why i like chris so much is because of his purdy take alot of ppl will just say purdy played good should’ve won and move on chris is just calling it how he seen it purdy did play good but he left some meat on the bones in a kitchen full of starving ppl(all-time great QB) you can’t do that its ok to do that week 7 or against a good qb but against the mahomes the brady’s you can’t its sucks and he can definitely learn and become better but marino rodgers and a bunch of other QB’s thought they were going back and only went back by being in the stands it aint guaranteed

Purdy didn’t play good. He’s being graded on the curve. His team was dominant the first half and still couldn’t put point on the board. That 49ers defense gave it all in first half hoping the team would be up 20 points but Brock was dinking and dunking.

okay Tom. Brady has the most super bowls but look how long he played and how long he did it. Patrick mahomes has been in the league 7 or 8 years and has been to four super bowls and 5 years and one three of them and the man's not even 30 years old. he just turned 28 if he's 28 so let's look at those stats

what about Kyle Shanahan 3 losses inn SB? Why is he still an HC inn the NFL? OC is the ALT. vs NE,, 2 SB losses to the KC, alll 3 SB`s Kyle as OC/HC had the leads?

If they don’t block the extra point, SF wins in regulation. If the punt doesn’t hit a players leg the Chiefs don’t score their first touchdown. There’s a lot of luck in the game.

Chris did we watch totally different games ? The 49ers did NOT own the Chiefs.... it was ZERO to ZERO in the first Quarter. You might say they were a bit better in the 2nd Quarter when it was 10-3... but then in the 3rd the Chiefs totally took over the Game. The Better Team prevailed... PERIOD. The Chiefs are a Fucking Dynasty. Mahomes is the Greatest QB in the NFL... maybe ever... I guess you could put him behind Brady and Montana. Travis Kelce is the GREATEST TE EVER... there is NO one close. Reid is in the Top Five Coaches EVER. That Game was VERY even... back and forth Yes.... but everyone saying the 49ers were clearly the better Team... No they weren't. They never dominated in that game.

I believe they went man to hide Burkes who came in for Greenlaw? The out routes were all on Burkes being outflanked in zone couldn’t get out to the flats or they were picking on him in man w the out routes. Last play in OT when Buford comes down was a huge mental error in empty pro w Jones in 4i he was man on him but Purdy needed to take that hit and make the throw to Jennings just lob it

Meh. I think KC was just as talented. It was a different kind of talent distribution, and a different kind of team-play philosophy. The Chiefs are helping their 4 DLs with a myriad of DB and LB pressures. They're helping their 4 DLs with a pair of corners that keep your best guys in lockdown coverage. Any of their 4 DLs might can and will drop into short zone and take away the exact hot route the QB's looking for against the corner blitz. Any of their DBs within 5 or 10 yards of the line can and will blitz. And they'll finish. But you can never tell which will be blitzing and what coverage they're actually running. You think you're getting a "man" tell from pre-snap motions and it's zone. Or vice-versa. Very smart on defense, with buy-in and understanding from everybody involved. Not just book-learned choreography. I just got the impression that KC players were smarter. Maybe they were/are, but maybe their coaches are just doing a better job.
