Not sure how feasible this is, but I would love for this pod to have it's own youtube channel. Not a huge deal, but I don't like this being lumped with the rest of the NBC content. A separate channel would also open opportunities to have sub-podcasts in a "Simms Unbuttoned Network" of sorts. Guys like Connor Rogers would be great, and you could help other young personalities grow alongside you. Just a thought, love the pod as always.

“It is I, Chris Simms. And it is he, Ahmad what’s-his-name.” Actually Chris’ English is perfect here. It sounds funny but the nominative case is correct. Not that it ‘twas I, not an English major. I was Comp Sci and Math. (It’s funny because most people in technical professions have better grammar than English majors.)

Big Chiefs fan but it's time to stop letting Kelce off the hook. Missing a planned interview because you were drunk? Seems like the guy who wants to go into the TV biz should keep those interviews high on the list. Positive he wouldn't drink too much before a game. Hope alcohol is not becoming a priority in his life. I know the media is always going to show the "story" but many days in a row of Kelce where he is drunk isn't good. Please Trav...pull it together before OTAs. We need you!!!!

Trey was given a raise and more time on his contract last year. After his worst year with the Bengals. After a 8 sack season he got a year added to his deal and more money. His pay was bumped to 20 mil a year and he was given a 6 mil dollar signing bonus. The Bengals have taken care of him. Myles Garrett make 20 mil a year. If that’s good enough for Garrett it should be good enough for Trey. And the Bengals would be happy to trade him but no one called wanting to initiate the trade. Or at least no one would give the Bengals fair compensation. They value Trey extremely highly. Probably more than most If the league.

LOL of course it’s possible to get Orlando Brown, Trent Brown, and Mims on the field at the same time. In a jumbo 6 offensive lineman sets. The Bengals do it all the time. Last year Cody Ford was the guy they used for that. In 2021 and 22 Hakeem Adeniji was the tackle they used to be the 6tb guy.

THE BENGALS ALSO SIGNED SHELDON RANKINS TO A 2 YEAR DEAL IN FREE AGENCY. BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins are the starting DTs this year. They will rotate Jenkins and Jackson in there. I’m not certain Zach Carter even makes the team yet but for DT5 it will either be Carter, Devonsha Maxwell, Travis Bell, Dominique Davis. It will be a competition between those guys or they might only keep 4 DTs and let one of their edge players, Cameron Sample, play for DT snaps this year. Sample is 6’3’’ 280 so he has the size to do that.

Man the Jaguars went heavy on the LSU guys this year lol. I liked their draft. BTJ is going to be a Pro Bowler/All Pro. You can’t go wrong with WRs from LSU. It is WRU. They got what I think is a starting offensive tackle in the 4th round. Maason Smith in time will become a Pro Bowl player in my opinion. Jefferson is a nose tackle with great strength. They got CBs from the SEC and ACC. A DE from Texas Texh and an SEC kicker.

Jags definitely need to address those awful OL issues from last season - it fell apart protection wise and run gap creation. Incredible fall off. Brian Thomas looks like he could be a stud. I like the under appreciated or lesser viewed divisions pre season as they often throw up a surprise, to the upside, team once we get into the season. Trying to pick which team will be the pleasant surprise is very interesting. I like Shane Steichen as a coach, seems to be very smart. Richardson needs to prove he can play NFL.

He missed a total of 22 games in that period. The first 3 years and especially in 2021 Reader was a difference maker. He was phenomenal. I think his best days are behind him though. We have a new guy now named McKinnley Jackson the NT out of Texas A&M. He is 6’2’’ 330.

@@demokes5063 Ryan Tannehill, today, would be the starter for the Raiders. Idk how you’d think otherwise. Minshew nor O’Connell are better than Tannehill is right now. He never said they weren’t top 10. He said they weren’t top 5 but if they could stay healthy and play well they could be elite. You weren’t even listening, you just wanted to have your feelings hurt. Having a bump in performance when you hate the old coach who gets replaced happens all the time in the nfl. In fact, the only reason Antonio pierce has a job was because the last time Davis hired a new coach after having that new coach change with Bisaccia, everyone hated McDaniels and he couldn’t do it again. And while yes the defense was good the last 10 games, aside from Kansas City, none of the teams AP coaches against were good offensively.

Ok so I gotta call bullshit on your evaluation of Najee Harris. The guy has played NFL football for exactly 3 years and hasn’t missed a game and has put up OVER 1000 yards rushing every season. 1200 his rookie year and made the Pro Bowl and All Rookie team that year. Yea his first year he averaged 3.9 per carry and his second year was 3.8 YPA which isn’t great. But this last year he got that up to 4.1 per carry. If you are gaining at least 4 yards per carry that is just fine. It is good. Because theoretically you can hand the ball of every time and get to 3rd and 2 and never reach 4th down. That’s why 4 YPA is om

With the Bengals the band is back together. Tee Higgins is a Bengal for 1 more year at least. Trey Hendrickson isn’t going anywhere. Just because someone wants a trade or requests a trade doesn’t mean they will get it. Last offseason Trey Hendrickson himself personally signed a contract extension document that says he is a Bengal through the 2025 season. So for 2 more years he is a Bengal. Whether he wants to be or not. He wanted some more money and security LAST offseason so the Bengals said sure thing Trey. They signed him up for an additional year and gave him a raise. Then he goes and has a 17.5 sacks season so now he wants more. Nah ahh Trey. We have you under contract for 2 more years at 20 million a year. Trey has 2 and only 2 options. He can play the 2 years and collect his 40 million or he can hold out not play stay at home for the next 2 years and make exactly $0. Those are his 2 options. Not really a choice. Trey is playing for the Bengals for 2 more years. And after that 2 years he will be 31 and can hit free agency again. But not with the Bengals because they don’t give long term contracts tracts to players who are over the agen if 30-31. Ever since they got burned by doing that for Geno Atkins the Bengals vowed to never let it happen again and they have stuck to their guns. The Bengals believed in Trey and they gave him a 4 year 60 million dollar deal based on the strength of 1 year of play. Most people said they were crazy. I did t I knew he was going to be great. He would have been great sooner in New Orleans but he didn’t get his chance until The last year of his rookie deal and he blew up and was second in the league in sacks with 13.5.

Texans fan here. By far our biggest concern is expectations. CJ is arguably top 5 QB, WR trio is possibly the best, Mixon is a top 10ish RB and hopefully Pierce will bounce back, O-line if healthy is top 10, D-line is top 5 at the least, LBs are solid and top half unit in the league, and then DBs could be top 10. Stingley was top 5 last year when healthy according to PFF. This is our best team we’ve ever had and I love it

Stop making excuses for Lawrence. He missed all of his receivers just as much as they let him down. He also could not read the field last year, at all. So many plays doesn't see a wide open Ridley deep, with no pressure; or misses the easy first down, and tries to force it. So many under throws too, it was just not a good year. Now, was he hurt? Absolutely. Can he still be good? Sure, and i hope he improves; but lets stop making excuses for him, simply because of hype, and draft capital. He is worse statistically than Minshew through almost same amount of games played (59 Lawrence, 58 Minshew), and has had MUCH better supporting cast THAN Minshew. You sit here, and talk about how Minshew has to earn the job over Aiden, and talk about Lawrence as one of the best QBs in the league? GTFO.
