Where he TRUCKED Don McLean on 4th and inches for a 43 yard TD to give the Skins their 1st lead in the SB in the 4th quarter. Timmy Smith set the STILL Super Bowl record with 204 rush yards in the 1988 SB. To put this in the proper context, that record has now stood for 35 YEARS, he is still the ONLY 200 yard rusher in a SB. Since he set the record, nobody has even came within 46 YARDS of his 204. Another honorable mention at worst should be Joe Montana's 1989 game against the Eagles. On the road against a great defense, hideous pass protection on that nasty Astroturf, and Joe is able to overcome the odds leading the 49ers on a magic comeback. Despite eating 8 sacks, Joe had 428 yards on 34 attempts, 5 TDS, and 4 in the 4th quarter alone.

But why would the Van Brocklin game just be an Honourable Mention? He threw for 554 yards and 6 touchdowns in 1951 and that isn't one of the top 10 most dominant performances in NFL history?!?!?!

Big Bens 6 TD, 522 yards, should have been at least a Honorable Mention. We need a part 2.

Lawrence Taylor play with one arm but still continued to make big plays when it matters he didn't disappoint at all vs New Orleans for real! 7:47

Peyton manning vs the defending champion Buccaneers is the craziest game I’ve ever seen that wasn’t a playoff game

Fred Taylor dismantling the Dolphins in the Playoffs should be on here. Same with Jimmy Smith against the vaunted Ravens defense

Ed Podolak's performance against the Dolphins in the 1971 playoffs also deserves a shoutout.

I saw 5 of those moments happening and never really thought about how they would affect the history of the NFL years later at the time; I even saw some of the honorable mentions, and it was strange not seeing Barry Sanders on either list

Willie Anderson had 15 catches for 336 yards. Norm Van Brocklin threw the ball for 554 yards in a single game, which the record still stands today. Walter Payton ran the ball for 275 yards against the Vikings in a single game, so the record has since been broken. Adrian Peterson ran the ball for 296 yards against the Chargers, so he has broken the record since.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Marino in 85 vs the arguably greatest defense ever, was more dominant than just about any qb performance. Dominating bad teams is fine, but

I think there’s a lot of games you can argue for , I would put more weight on the ones with high pressure situations, or other circumstances

As an Eagles fan I really wanted to see Cunningham and Moss win it all that year with Vikings. That connection was beautiful. 15-1 then lost in Championship by missed FG 🤦🏻♂️ Vikings are cursed

Robert Griffith miss a couple of ints for the Vikings as well as tackles.. yes Andersen missed the kick but Griffith making plays could've won them the game. Go watch the 2nd half and you'll see

24/35 331 yards 3 TDs 5 rushes 59 yards ans 1 TD. To win a superbowl and superbowl MVP. Against one of the best offensives of all time. How does 1984 Joe Montana not make this list?

Brady's 5 TDs in just 2nd quarter really stuck in my head for a longgggg time. Then Patriots even basically slowed the offense in the second half. Total domination.

I was living in South Louisiana and a huge Saints fan when Flipper Anderson set the record for most receiving yards in a game. That you think that was an honorable mention is ridiculous. I hated watching it, but it was spectacular, and deserved more than an honorable mention.

Personally I think Brett Favres crazy run from 95-98 should be on here 😂. That was a crazy stretch. Modern day offensive numbers and 3 MVPs? Crazy!!!

And Brett's performance against Oakland should be on the list, not an honorable mention. Brett had over 300 yds and 4 TDs in the 1st Half. The night after his dad died ... Unreal

I think the most impressive on this list is Tarkenton’s 554 yards in an era when they just didn’t throw the ball like that. That record survived the 80’s, the 90’s, the 00’s and beyond. Montana, Marino, Young, Favre, Peyton Manning, Roethlisberger, Stafford, Rodgers, Brady, Maholmes and others in the era of just throw the damned thing have yet to better that record.
