As a Steeler fan, I remember Luck getting pummeled this game and getting back up every time smiling, and then throw a dart for 20 yards next play. After we won, I didn't mention the 50 points we scored on the #1 Defense through 8 weeks. I didn't go gaga over Ben's dominant performance or gush over L. Bell, AB, Bryant, etc. I said; "Andrew Luck is a tough sonuvabitch. He has my respect."

They were #1 in the league until this game. Had decimated Cincinnati the week before, allowing 135 TOTAL yards. Dominated Philly on MNF the week before that.

This was a fun one to watch for sure. The first of a two week stretch where Big Ben tossed 6 TDs each while averaging over 400 yards per game. Games like this are why I personally believe Ben doesn't get enough credit. Sure, he's not on the level of say, Brady, Brees or Manning, but on his best days, it's hard to argue that he's not a top 5 QB. Hope we haven't seen the last of his days in the league. It'd truly be a shame.

Clearly not, Ben already said that he will honor the contract (which he will be under through 2021). Once he is healthy, he will back at the QB starting position again.

For my money the greatest single game played by a QB ever. Big Ben had 0 sacks, 0 ints, 6tds, and 522 yards against the number 1 defense in the NFL. He also stopped throwing half way through the 4th and could have easily set the single game record for passing yards

Ben Roethlisberger is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer but during his playing career I always had the feeling as though he was notch below the truly elite QBs like Brady, Peyton Manning, Rodgers, and Brees. 2014 was the one year Big Ben truly belonged in that echelon of QBs.
