I only completed Carbon once and I was using exotic cars and Neville for the whole playthrough. Next playthrough I planned to do tuner cars and after watching this video I guess I'll start using Sal as soon as possible.

When he first came I tested him out and I never changed him. He has one of the best rubberbands but the thing is he keeps brakechecking you in corners. He compensates by winning races for you. Truly a GIGACHAD Sal=Free win 😂

Sal was my favourite right along Neville, I really just found them both charming but preferred blockers early on so I used a bit more Neville often. One of my oldest memories about NFS Carbon was when the game glitched out while I was playing with my friend as we went into a race with Sal, in which his rubberband bugged out and he flew past everyone in an excessive amount of speed, as really young Carbon fans who experienced that for the first time we were both quite shocked.

When I was younger, I thought Sal's "light trail" is some type of special nitrous that could make the car go really fast. Color me disappointed when I installed the exact same nitrous part on my RX8 and there were no light trails (and no super speed either)

Honestly the scout types are the best in the game. Because their job is to lead you to shortcuts, they are mostly ahead which means they usually win all the races by themselves if you didn't. And they sometimes perform the blocker move on opponents though it can also backfire on you. It's a good gamble since blockers are redundant and drafters are pretty much useless when you or your scout can win any race.
