Anyone who's having trouble, a word of advice is: during the race day go to Options>Gameplay>Mode Options>Grip and turn off Traction Control System and Electronic Stability Control. The car may swerve a little more but it accelerates much faster.

@@bigcut695 free download of version 1.1 is available and many fixes. i just got the game working perfectly fine using ps4 controller and have been playing through the game. just got to ryo and have only had 1 crash.

Day 2: i am already losing my mind, my problem is that i beat this record before but now i can't which is crazy... i've been at it for hours, i tried every comment, suggestion or advice i found on this race and nothing, my best time is still 41:50. Day 3: I actually got it with 40:90 lol, fuck this made me rage for a week. But anyways i'll leave you guys a detailed guide for people from the future. (PS3 version) First of all, in this specific race you will come to realise that assists sabotage you more than helping you, which is due to the tight hairpins so turn them all off, you also wanna switch to Manual/clutch and get used to it (on the PS3 it will take time to get used to it). Start the race and wait 10-15 seconds, go when it gets clear and stay on 1st gear on the first turn, while you're going uphill try to stay on the optimal racing line and trust me that will make a huge difference, switch to 2nd gear but make it short, when you reach 85-90 KMH gear up to 3rd, as the car will die down a little it will bounce back until 120 KMH when you reach the top, however brake as soon as you hit the red racing line cuz that turn is probably the second most important one in the entire race. Switch back to 2nd gear then brake for the hairpin downhill, and while you turn switch back to first gear, read line the entire 1st gear then gear up to 2nd and stay on it until the 2 last turns, it is crucial to mention that between the latter turn i mentioned above and the last 2 hairpins you need to use the brake very very softly, and swerve the car using the gas pedal, idk how to explain it more but try to be within the racing line not going too much off it, as you approach the last 2 turns, slow down and turn the 1st one while quickly gearing down, this means you're gonna pass the remainder of the lap with 1st gear on, try to follow the apex line as the last 2 turns are the key for getting 40 secs and not 42 or 43. Slow down a little bit one more time and turn the last turn as your car fasts out try timing a 2nd gear as smoothly as possible, and hopefully you'll get a decent 40 secs lap time. One more thing to mention on the PS3 version is that on the final 2 hairpins, don't press the R2 button fully, try to press it gently to make the car accelerates much without spinning or swerving, when it has enough power floor the R2 button and hopefully you'll get it with much less frustration than i had. But really this R2 thing is what really made the difference for me, good luck.

All racers! Keep in mind to turn off all vehicle assist systems. I drove about 50 times without a record till I switch the systems off. Then you're really flyin. :D

I finally beat the record with time 40:54 & scored around 8950. I use auto transmission because I can't drive both in-game or IRL. There are 2 tricks that I used, when going that uphill section I utilize the nitrous and when going around corners/hairpin I used handbrake to make that crap BMW turn more aggressively (speed didn't lose that much as most of the corners going downhill anyway). With some luck, try & error at least sum of 40 laps, I finally manage to do it. Very sad I didn't record it, and I agree this is the hardest record track to beat.

i had issues with it too, but the issue is the invisible walls were so annoying, I kept crashing into some terrible hit boxes and then runs dead. i understand that the bumper camera makes you faster, i mostly use hood camera, it makes me faster too the thing that makes you faster when using these is that you don't have to worry about the back of the car, and makes you see the road better

Thank you so much for the guide. I got 8815 points in my latest try. One thing that changed the run for me was pushing throttle more than I did before. Others will notice this quicker in the video, but it should be mentioned that despite how narrow and tight the course seems, you should push your car to get as much speed as possible, at least on the exits froms the corners.

NO LIE!!!!!!! After four nights of sweating on this i finally figured it out on 360 no mods or anything. Only use your nos on the uphill after the first turn rule 1. Rule 2 wait 17.5 to 18 seconds before starting (this is the only way to win). The game rubber bands you to catch up when you are that far behind but if you catch up too fast it stops helping you. Rule 3 don't go when the other cars do specifically because they WILL damage you or get in the way which will hurt your score. Rule 4 the hairpin that the game kind of assists you you are meant to take slightly slightly wide while hugging the racing line/assist pull. This turn is super important to also learn how to set you up for the the following hill (you want to hug the corner closest to your right side before the straight). Rule 5 cut the last turn but put the racing line on to learn the way the game means for you to try to take these last two hair pin turns. The game physically restricts you otherwise and will slow you down. This is even true if you try to clutch kick the thing while holding in the clutch. In other words that shit doesn't work the game works cartoonish in that you must obey it's racing line. Hope this helps.

"You have no chance to beat the record while trying topass those slowpokes in front of you" Yes, but actually no :D Kinda late to the party, but i share my beating of this god dammed track. Did this on keyboard, with all help on from Mode Options. I not all that good in racing games, so i play dirty >:) Cutting corners, going off track, ramming other racers and stuff. I did 8.9somenthing I was braking and downshifting at the same time, then I watched this and i tried braking then downshifting. It saved me at least half second. I also used nitro after turn 1, soon after upshifting to gear 2

Try using the lotus,max upgrades, handbrake almost every corner while flatout, i kept getting low 30s every round, gotta treat it like initial d

God i envy you, i cant even get enough speed because the "turned off" traction control just robs you of all power on xbox 360, never had that issue on pc Edit: having them all turned off magically leaves them all on, so long as one assist like abs is on, tc and sm stay off

I had a few low 41 second laps, and now i can't seem to get below 42. Not to mention that my out lap seems to be flawless but my two hot laps are full of errors. On the final corner of the final lap i get chronic understeer no matter how much i try and rotate the car or how long i wait ti get back on the power 😂😂😂 Having the worst luck! Edit: My first attempt after posting this comment resulted in a 40:70 😂😂😂

I beat and dominated every race in this game on the PS2 version, this race took me about an hour of trying but i did it, however on the PS3 version it's freaking cancer... i've been at it for months and still can't get it...

turn off all type of assist, they only slow you down by reducing stuff so you keep control of the car, but with those tight corners you want the car to slide
