Nate Denver has to be a hacker. No one can become the Speed King with the '65 GTO. It's way too slippery. Maybe Drag King, sure, but definitely not Speed King. I beat him with a Corolla anyway (on my PS2 lol)

I just beat that guy some seconds ago in my Ford GT and was so surprised because the one guy from his BoxOut crew with the Pagani Zonda F gave me more trouble than Nate Denver himself. In the last race I destroyed him by taking one minute less for the race. ^^

I actually used Denver's car against Ryo. You got to get used to the loose steering. Yes it took me awhile to get used to it but once you master it the car is a beast

Just get engine, forced induction and nitrous level 3, you don't need any other parts at all. Just crank up the boost on the tuning setup and thats it, you'll get an awful lot of points on drift events

A while ago I read a theory that someone posted about why Nate Denver picked a slow car for these races. The theory is that Nate did this on purpose so that he wouldn't wreck while his opponents did from going too fast. His opponent wrecks their car and Nate simply finishes the race to win and remain the speed king. This strategy worked for a awhile until it failed against you the player. you actually made it to the end without wrecking. This theory gives a good reason behind that letdown of a race against Nate. It's been many years since I played ProStreet, but I think there was a racer in the speed challenges that used a Pagani Zonda F. I think he should've been the speed king instead. He would've given every player a run for their money with that car.

Man, the GTO is a joke as a Speed car. Muscle cars in general are. Which really disappointed me, as a Muscle car fan. Back on topic: That thing is impossible to handle. Just the lightest bit of steering and you're swerving all over the place like you just chugged a bottle of Moonshine before the race. I was fighting to simply survive (forget winning) on the Autobahn tracks. The Autobahn. The super easy beginner tracks. Going to the Touge or even Nevada is essentially signing a death wish.
