This reminds me of some of the "quality" time that I have spent in GTA-Online races. It took me way too long to realize that it is a waste of time to get upset about people in these games, many of whom rejecting the concept of a racing-line in the first place. I always thought that it was mainly down to the demographic of GTAO, especially when it comes to the complaining in the chat and the disbelief when one would actually retaliate. Not being able to turn off the text-chat was the worst of it all though. I hope that at least the latter is something that you do not have to deal with in NfS. 😅 That being said... there were amazing races in GTA as well. Getting lucky with a lobby of fair players on a good track is a truly heartwarming experience.

Sometimes me and my friends and their other friends gather together into one lobby that it fills the player slots half, when we do races we all agreed to play fairly, and yes it's public lobby, when we caught someone trying to play unfairly we all try to drove him out of the track. Nowadays they don't play GTA as much, they are all busy with csgo or cod.

I get them not knowing about racing lines, which is fine bc GTA is not purely a racing game (and not a sim on top of that), but it's still cheap when the ones at the bottom want to ruin your race by driving the wrong way to ram you. GTA is not the clear example tho, it's a casual game that revolves very little in racing, so it's a bit more understandable that players might want to get a bit more agressive. But when you but a racing game like nfs just to play dirty it's shitty.
