Then you should try getting behind the wheel of a 90’s Civic with VTEC for yourself. You lose a lot just watching, and if you’ve never rowed your own (or taken a corner in anger) in a pre 2000 Civic, you’re missing out. They are a lot of fun. Plus old Honda’s were never about straight line speed. They were corner carvers. You just can’t get behind the wheel of an EG, EK or EM and NOT have a smile on your face.

One of the hardest drag race of the game for me. I used to hit the front of the trains all the time. My car was too fast and the resolution of the playstation 2 too low. I couldn't see things clearly coming my way. And I don't talk about the framerates who felt under the 20fps I believe. Hey, good times ! 😄👍

I was just playing this like a week ago on PC.. was such a amazing game back in the day. Wish I could get the original to work but I don’t think anyone has ROM’d a working version yet. I got some that get to main screen but won’t get past the car choice..lol

Look up the toothpaste paste method to clean discs. It would happen to me too trying to do one of the URL races in stage 2 that would freeze the game. Doing that trick fixed for me
