Just like Indian teachers teaching math and CS on KZbin too. The harder the subject, the thicker accent. But many students still enjoy and found it helpful. Ngo Bao Chau got the Fields Medal tho.

Are you sure that it is his accent and not the mathematical terminologies that you're not familiar of? Because if it is the latter, you can't understand it either ways. Given that he has been giving lectures in both English and French his entire career, I don't think the students or mathematicians have a problem with how he speaks.

As long as students and his colleagues at the University of Chicago in the US and Universities in France find no problem understanding him, I think he's good. Comments from you are welcome, but it won't affect him at all. If you learn to speak Vietnamese or any other second language beside English, are you sure your accent will be clearer and better than Professor Chau's English & French accent? I guess not, definitely not.

@@xyzabc7170 ngl he actually has a thick accent tho. It takes time to get used to the accent. Trust me not all students can get it at the beginning. So what that guy complained is not wrong. I’m Vietnamese and I have been in the US for 10 years. I also get doctorate degree here. But it’s hard to understand him sometimes. But the more you listen, the easier you get familiar with his voice. I agreed that he has French accent. The way that he pronounced some words are different.
