He is a machine man Yet he has this random fiend Sure he turns it Metal But you mean he runs this card just to purely turn it metal? Does that mean if he lacks the metalmorph for it he doesn't play Zoa? Zoa is such an anomaly Heck its flavor text just says "a creature who's full potential is brought out when empowered by Metalmorph" This creatures entire purpose is just to be used with Metamorph? Why? What's the reason? Why does this nondescript fiend only become great with metalmorph? And what does it mean by that? He gain no effect as Metalzoa And he'd actually be stronger as Zoa equipped with Metalmorph I really shouldn't be this flustered but what even is the point of Zoa? Keith buddy. I think zoa is kinda a representation of bandit Keith's true colors. When you look past the red white and blue aka the machines that are on the outside. you see he's actually a fiend who is tricky/deceitful. That is why a trap card that turns his true self aka zoa into it's most powerful form is most suited. Even the way he plays it in the show tells you what kind of person he is

In Forbidden Memories star levels are determined solely based on sum of card stars ;) So after I've watched every can you beat FM challenge I've noticed you mentioned several times that cards like dragon capture jar clear specific type of monster from entire field and I had never seen you get corrected so I can tell you now that it is not true, DCJ etc only clear enemy monsters in FM and to make sure that I don't misremember something I tested it today, battled Pegasus few times to get DCJ and then played against Simon to check if I'm right and after using this card with 3 MBD's on my field none got destroyed ;) Also I don't know if you still take suggestions for next runs but I'd like to see fiend run soon ;)

Mechanically, Metalzoa and Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon are useless in TCG/OCG and you should never run them. First, Zoa/Red-Eyes Black Dragon with Metalmorph equipped is more powerful due to Metalmorph's effect, and second, Metalzoa/REBMD have to be summoned from the deck. If you draw into it, you better have a way to get put it back or it's a complete brick.

hi, i am the same guy who told you about making a card by release date list and currently i am at the end of 1999 with the release of Forbidden memories, there are some interesting tidbits of information, like Perfect Ultimate Moth being a videogame exclusive, just like Raigeki, Dark Hole, most equips, spells, traps, and monsters, yeah, they added a lot compared to what was in the manga those cards were released up to 2 years before the anime was even launched and they don't have any relation with the manga, so the trivia of Cyber commander (which released on gb2 dark duel stories) being based on Tristan is not true, they did that gag on the anime years later my theory of how the game came to be, is that they started making cards around 1997 when the manga shifted focus to be DM exclusive, so by 1998 they already had games packed with hundreds of cards, that eventually saw release not too long after in 1999, the anime came out midway 2000 the only manga related cards in the video are Metal Zoa and Steel Ogre Grotto i remember that in the last video you talked about Jinzo not being in the game, well, Jinzo debuted in the manga 4 days after forbidden memories was released, at the start of the Battle City arc, and forbidden memories stopped adding manga monsters midway through the duel with Bandith Keith in Duelist Kingdom arc, that's why there is Metalzoa but no Barrel Dragon, which it's original name is Revolver Dragon and that's cool AF i think Forbidden Memories was developed alongside the second gameboy game because they basically share the same cardpool, FM having only 2 extra cards from the manga. about the counterparts/recolors, they were released on the second gameboy game as well and they all are copies of the original monsters of the first game. there are a hundred of them by the time around gb2 and forbidden memories a pack would have a handful of manga monsters, a handful of original gb1 monsters, a handful of original gb2 monsters and a handful of recolors from gb2 , + 1 or 2 original spell/trap cards, the release of the sets are quite mesmerizing to say the least, they overlap in cards and release dates, some recolors are printed before their original card and all sorts of wacky stuff. the first set original monsters that released straight as OCG cards came a week after Forbidden Memories in Starter Box EX. which were added in the fourth gameboy game, that means that it would be interesting look at the third gameboy game as it sits akwardly in the point between the videogames kickstarting the OCG and the printed OCG cards taking over. sorry to info dump like this, but i have been doing this for days and i needed some catharsis lol

I love reading the info dump! I think the likely reason was probably Bandai vs Konami in terms of cards, mechanics and general ownership. The manga ended up with the cards much later given the start focused on Yami torturing the crap out of people lol

Machines are my favorite monster type. I recently made a Machine King deck for master duel. It's a hybrid of a few different decks I've seen. Not anything competitive just a fun deck for bronze and silver. Anyhoo 😜 I've dusted off my PS2 and started to do solo-type runs...good luck with Rocks. I thought it would be easy but is proving to be quite a challenge. Mainly because I'm playing on a ps2 without the 15 card mod.
