I am a Somali and a proud devout Muslim and i don't speak Kikuyu neither do i understand Kikuyu lingua, but this amazing song touched me. First time i heard it was in Tuesday 17th August 2021 in a friends car on our way from Kiambu town and my friend translated it for me and the meaning is truly deep. It is my second favorite after Sophie by Rachel Ngigi and Jian Ndungu. And despite us being of different religious beliefs, the most important thing is to always have the fear of our Almighty God and restraint ourselves from worldly evils. Let's not forget that this world is not our permanent home. Everything that we struggle so hard for in this world is a vanity. And after death there is the day of judgement awaiting us where we shall all have to account for our deeds on this world before the Almighty who created us... Bottomline piece of advice from me is; be good to all, strive to do good at times and incase the devil troes to mislead you into the evil of greed and selfishness at the expense of others progress always try to restraint yourself as much as possible and don't forget that any evil you do to people on this world will be your downfall on the day of judgement.... My parting shot is also related to the message and contents of this same beautiful song by MAN NYARI....
