To this day alot of people don't realize it's not what Cruz makes it out to seem. Ngannou lands a short uppercut to Cain's chin and you can Cain get buckled by that shot which causes his body to go limp which is why he landed awkwardly on his knee. So it wasn't a freak knee injury which caused that, it was the short uppercut Francis landed.

And after that fight he retired because he took a chance and failed and knew deep down it just wasn't gonna be the same...too much against him than for him. Francis is bigger, gotten better and body hadn't een through half of what Brown pride did. So Cain should be proud of his accomplishments.

Its so hard to judge his career. It really is. No doubt it was very impressive what he did to jds, but the bigfoot silva fights dont mean shit we all know bigfoot silva is not an elite fighter what so ever. He then lost to werdum, elevation is an excuse for that, but idk man. I think stipe is better. Cain was on another level for the jds fights though. Injuries held him back a lot.

He didn't do nothing beating Velasquez, Cain had been out for years battling injury and surgery on top of aging....so not really doing nothing impressive in reality except beating a injury riddled,aging all time great. We'll see how good he is in 5 and 6 years from now....the talent pool he's deeper and better.
